Get away cottage in a beautiful country setting

Our cozy cottage sits on a peaceful 70 acre private lot overlooking a pond. The perfect place to get away in a relaxing environment and parklike atmosphere. Located in rural Ontario just southeast of Algonquin Park. Home to many lakes, rivers, hiking trails, and pristine forests. Many small towns to explore with unique shops and restaurants. Beaches within minutes and more lakes than we could count! Surrounded by rolling hills. Spectacular colours during our fall season. The space The cottage is located near the hamlet of Rockingham. 6 minutes (by car) away from Gorman lake with public beach, children play ground, good fishing and boat launching. 4 minutes away from Diamond lake. ATV trails that run for miles. 10 minutes away from Combermere and Palmer Rapids, near Barry’s Bay and Killaloe (20 min) and close to the Algonquin park. The town of Barry’s Bay has a hospital, dentist, pharmacy, LCBO, 2 large grocery stores and a laundry mat. For your comfort the cottage is well appointed with new appliances, necessities and amenities for the modern daily living. This cozy newly renovated 900 ft2 home has an open concept, and includes a loft and a 200 ft2 screened in cedar porch. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed, and the loft has a double and twin bed. There is also a sofa double bed in the living room if it is preferred to sleeping in the loft. All mattresses have encasement provided for protection against allergens, liquid spills and bed bugs. The fully equipped kitchen and adjoining dining room or screened in porch provide bright and convenient spaces to prepare and share meals. The living room has HD TV with movie channels and there is wifi (Starlink: 100-150Mbps upload and 10-20Mbps download speed). For your comfort, the 4-season cottage is equipped with a heat pump that operates very quietly to deliver either heat or air conditioning as needed. Moreover, you can sit outside in the Muskoka chairs near the pond and/or enjoy the fire pit. Everyone loves the screened in porch surrounded by a very peaceful and quiet natural environment overlooking the pond and meadows. Bring your camera for the stunning nature views. Guest access This lovely cottage is not shared. Our house sits over 110 ft away for your privacy, and separated by a privacy fence. Free parking on premises. Other things to note 2 night minimum for bookings. We can accommodate up to 3-4 people. 2 people are included in the price, additional people (max. 2 more persons) are required to pay fees ($ 75 per person and day), Children are very welcome. We also can accommodate a dog ($ 45 per dog and day). We have a ‘shoes off’ policy. As we do not charge a cleaning fee, we ask that the cottage is left clean, swept and tidy. All dishes, cooking items and utensils must be washed and put away. Please bring your own beach towels. Thank you.
