Modern Retro Chic Studio In University City

This newly renovated modern retro-chic studio in University City, West Philadelphia is perfect for the blogger, student, business traveler, or couple visiting the city! We usually have on street parking readily available within a block of our home- parking is free on 40th St. We have wifi available, and a smart TV in the studio. The space The space includes a queen sized bed, couch, a kitchenette, and 2 small tables. Our cozy window corner is perfect for the daydreamer or writer with beautiful vintage spinning chairs and great natural lighting. In addition to the smart TV, there is an Alexa dot in the room (on the windowsill behind the bed) you may use to play music, or ask the weather. We have everything you could need in our kitchenette including ceramic non-stick pots and pans, strainer, mixing bowls, measuring cups and a baking sheet as well as a full fridge, freezer, and microwave. The shower is in a clawfoot tub in the bathroom which may be difficult for some people as it requires stepping up and into the tub and there are no arm rails to hold on to. This studio is perfect for a night in or a night out, or a full weekend of both! To the guests who don't want to leave, you may take advantage of our chairs and table on the front porch for some great people-watching on busy 40th Street. We are in walking distance to downtown university city as well as U-Penn, Drexel, CHOP, Art Museum (Rocky Steps), Fairmount Park, and all the local Lancaster Ave and 40th Street shops! We are just a few blocks away from 40th St Subway Station, making it an easy commute to get into center city, or the suburbs. Just feet away from the bus and trolley lines, our location is ideal to those who use public transportation to get around! Simply catch an Uber or Lyft for a quick drive to the airport, Manayunk, Fishtown, sports stadiums, center city, or any of our other near-by attractions. Guest access There is a shared front door, where each guest will get a unique access code to use on the pin-pad to enter. The front foyer and steps are shared with us, and our Photography studio on the first floor. Guests will use the same unique access code to get into the studio. Other things to note Absolutely no smoking cigarettes inside the apartment. This will result in penalty fees and guests may face a potential ban from the Airbnb app if this violation of the house rules is detected. This is something we as hosts and Airbnb take very seriously. Tobacco smoke contains many chemicals that are harmful to both smokers and nonsmokers. Of the more than 7,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 250 are known to be harmful, including hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, and ammonia.
