Studio/home converted from oil factory in Assos

You will come out of the lush garden full of weeping willows, linden and fruit trees and in 40 steps you will encounter the Aegean Sea, Lesbos Island, Sivrice Bay and a magnificent sunset view. When you turn your head slightly to the left, you will see the Necropolis and the West Gate standing in all its majesty, and you will see how close you are to the Temple of Athena and the streets where Aristotle taught. You are within walking distance of cafes and restaurants from this painting studio/home with private parking. The space The building, which was built as an olive oil factory by the villagers in the early 1950s, served the village for many years. In 2013, we restored the registered building, in which ancient fortification stones were used in its construction, by doing all the woodwork ourselves, and we started to use it as both a house and a painting studio. When you enter through the door, the building welcomes you with its majestic stone walls, a roof height of about 6 m and a one-piece spacious area where we carry out our painting works, a kitchen, bathroom, toilet and a sofa and seating group that turns into a single bed when needed. The mezzanine floor, which is accessed by stairs, has a bathtub and a double bed. On hot summer days, you can sip your drinks on the wooden bar counter in the garden, read your book in the hammock under the weeping willow and linden, or work or relax in the sitting corner... Guest access If you want to swim in the sea, the Ancient Port is 2 km away, Kadıga Bay is 4 km away, and the bays in the Sivrice Region are about 15 km away. Ayvacık, the nearest district center, is 17 km away. Other things to note There is a family of cats that visit the garden from time to time and like to spend time there. If you have a fear or concern about cats, please consider this. When the weather cools down after hot days, there may be creaking due to the expansion of the wooden roof; don't let this worry you… Since it is a living space where we still continue our painting work, the paintings we exhibit may change.
