A View of the Bay

Peaceful, spacious property, short walk from downtown Nehalem and minutes by car from downtown Manzanita and the Pacific Ocean. Home lovingly restored by local family, featuring gourmet kitchen, office space, full washer/dryer, smart TV in family room, games, toys and many cozy amenities. Patio and terrace have gas BBQ, fire pit, and private view of pasture and Nehalem Bay - frequently visited by local herd of Roosevelt Elk. Please see house rules on events/parties. Come enjoy a bit of heaven! The space Our property is a two story house, with exterior doors leading into an open living room from the carport as well as the front patio. A third door off the back deck leads into the study on the first floor. All entrances require a step up to access - we do have a wheelchair ramp available on request. The main living area is open-concept, with a cozy sitting space with wood burning fireplace, and a six-seat dining table as well as kitchen island bar seating with views of the Nehalem River estuary and (distant) Pacific Ocean. The kitchen has granite countertops, new appliances including an induction stove, and is well stocked for cooking and serving. If you have any questions about specific availability of any cooking implements feel free to message us and ask. Two bedrooms and both bathrooms are located on the main floor. The master with king-sized bed is on the view side of the house at the end of the hall, and has a private bathroom with step in shower. The second downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and is located off the hall between the study and living room. Also located on this hall are a full bathroom with generous bathtub and integrated shower, as well as the laundry closet with large, new machines. The remaining sleeping areas are located up a (narrow) staircase off the main living area. The stair opens to a family room with a large TV, futon couch, and game table. This futon can be folded out to create a full-sized bed. At the far side of the family area is a third bedroom with queen bed and view of the pasture. On the opposite side of the second story is the bunk room, with four twin beds and a well-stocked play area. There is no bathroom on the second story. This house is located on a beautiful 2.5 acre lot in a rural-residential neighborhood - it is a lovely spot for quiet gatherings and we have tried hard to make the home accessible to those with mobility limitations and welcoming for families with children of all ages, but out of respect for neighboring families we emphasize that this is not an appropriate spot for parties or loud events. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entirety of the house, with the exception of the interior of the master closet and storage spaces beneath the house which are accessed via exterior door.
