Peat Cutter's Cottage - Lakeland, slice by slice!
Description
A delightful cottage, sleeping from 2 to 8 - perfect for a quiet break or a holiday with friends or family. Close to Lake Windermere, the whole of The Lake District National Park is yours to discover. Children will adore the superb play park just across the lane and 'grown ups' may wish to celebrate a really special occasion together and try out the wood fired pizza oven and BBQ. Dogs are welcome and will be safe in the garden which is totally enclosed. The space With 3 double bedrooms and a twin room there is plenty of room for everyone. A travel cot and highchair are available in the cottage. The breakfast/kitchen is well equipped and there is another spacious rear kitchen/utility/playroom for BBQ prep or to keep little people occupied. There is an additional 'table top' oven in here in case you are planning a mega feast! The oak floored dining room has pretty stained glass double doors leading from the dining through to the comfortable lounge with log burner and wall mounted TV. The cottage is well served with 2 full bathrooms and a spacious ground floor guest WC. There is full gas fired central heating throughout. Peat Cutters Cottage has on site parking for two cars - one SMALL and one MEDIUM but there is parking nearby for larger cars. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome but owners are asked to ensure that no trace is left behind! We would add that dogs are not allowed upstairs and would suggest that the back door into the utility room should be used when paws are muddy. Dog shampoo is provided. The village play park is literally just across the lane - this has to be one of the best facilities anywhere in the UK. Parents may struggle to persuade their children to leave especially as we provide football, badminton and cricket equipment. Happy holidays all round! Guest access The whole of Peat Cutters Cottage and it's garden and patio are yours to enjoy. It provides the most fantastic base from which to explore The Lakes. Foodies will love the fact that the village of Cartmel is just minutes away (Check out L'Enclume). The local pub, The Royal Oak serves great food and is just a few minutes walk away whilst Fell Foot Park (National Trust) is but a short drive from the cottage - why not hire a paddle board and take to the water? Other things to note Peat Cutters Cottage is idyllic in so many ways and we hope that you will make many happy memories there. Lindale is a village though, and as such there are neighbouring cottages around. For this reason we need to be sure that our guests will always be respectful and hence we cannot accommodate groups of more than 8. Visitors to Peat Cutters will undoubtedly love the countryside that is The Lakes and fully appreciate the peace and tranquillity enjoyed by our neighbours. As is so often the case in parts of the countryside mobile phone coverage is patchy but Wi-Fi calls generally work well. There is a broadband connection and a TV with a Freeview (recordable) box. If you are celebrating something really special we are honoured to be able to recommend Masterchef winner, Tom Rhodes, to create a magnificent dinner for you and your guests. Please check out RhodesKitchen in the first instance and contact Tom directly to check his availability.
