Uncle Ivan’s Cabin

The two bedroom A-frame house was remodeled in 2022. The space offers beautiful views of nature and the night sky from the large window in the master bedroom. Travelers will enjoy unique playful interiors. The tiny house is surrounded by forests but only few minutes from the historical downtown of Banska Bystrica. The spacious garden has a firepit and grill. The space The original, simple cabin was built in the 90s by my parents. The 2022 renovation of the space was designed by a Slovak architect to give the old cabin a new life. It is a tiny but fully functional house. In the cabin there are some original personal items, and furniture we repaired and used again. There is a kitchen with an electric stove, refrigerator, toaster, and dishwasher, a wood stove Jotul placed in the kitchen which needs to be used during the colder months along with electric heating, a bathroom with shower, quality wooden furniture with 5 wooden beds made by a local carpenter, WiFi, a garden table with chairs and an umbrella, fire pit with grill. Guest access There is a dirt road leading to the tiny house. Parking is available in front of the gate approximately 30 meters down the hill from the entrance of the property. Self check in is available. The house keys will be placed in a lockbox. Guests will receive instructions and driving directions one day prior to their arrival. Other things to note Recycling bins are available in the kitchen. The cabin has its own well with great drinking water. No need to buy bottled water. There is a furnace in the cabin which should be used during the winter season.
