The space Camarina Sea View House is located in the historic village of Kamarina in Epirus, in the Preveza Prefecture. It is located at an altitude of 390 meters and is only 6.5 km from the beach and 25 km from Preveza. The village stands out thanks to its impressive view and its mild climate, even on the hottest summer days. However, Kamarina is an ideal holiday destination in winter as well. Within the limits of the village that took its name from the word Kamari [it was named “Kamarina” either by the Venetians because of the ancient Kamarina of Sicily or even from the myth of the Oceanida daughter of Titan, the sea god Oceanus], you can find the heroic Monument of Zalongo, which is one of the many attractions of Epirus and which you can see from the kitchen window of the house. The house has a bedroom with a double bed, and a larger space that functions as a living room with the kitchen area. It has traditional furniture from the island of Skyros, a comfortable sofa that functions as a single bed (for one more guest) or a double bed (for two more guests). The two front windows overlook the greenery and the Ionian Sea, while the other two windows overlook the village settlement and the historic mountain of Zalongo with the majestic statues of the Souliote women, which give a universal message of sacrifice and freedom, a Monument of the Modern Cultural Heritage of Greece. What makes the location of the house stand out is its geographical location, as it is located in the centre of Epirus and in just a few minutes you can go from the mountains to the sea. Epirus is full of myths and history in the depths of the centuries, as it was first inhabited 40,000 years ago. The region is ideal for holidays, excursions, swimming, mountain and beach walks, but also for visits to rugged mountains such as the historic Zalongo (3 minutes by car) and fairytale places such as the mythical springs of the Acheron river (35 minutes by car) with its gorgeous and small lakes, the eternal plane trees, the steep cliffs and cities of particular historical and cultural interest such as the city of Preveza (30 minutes by car), famous worldwide for its geographical location, Ioannina (1 hour and 20 minutes by car) with its emblematic lake and the history of Ali Pasha, Arta (45 minutes by car) with the Arta Archaeological Collection in the bank of the Monastery of Parigoritissa Arta dating back to the 13th century. Parga with the medieval castle on top of the hill-acropolis of the 15th century, and on the other side the beach of Lihnos (one of the most beautiful and popular sandy beaches), the beaches, the local cuisine with pure ingredients and traditional dishes. Your trip can be beautified with visits to the island of Lefkada (55 minutes drive), to the secluded stunning beaches and to the stately and fascinating Corfu (1 hour drive via Igoumenitsa by boat).
