But 99% guests who have stayed in my flat have had no trouble in that respect. Please note that there is no TV in this flat either in any bedrooms or communal areas such as the living room or the kitchen, as we do not have a TV licence in our flat, meaning that we cannot have a television set. (If you want to bring your own TV set and keep it in your room or the living room, you would need to pay the TV licence. Please search online or ask me for more information on TV licence. You can watch any TV on your devices without a TV licence in the UK except any live TV and any BBC TV programmes.) Our flat comes with a spacious living room that all guests have access to. In real, the bedrooms and my flat look better than the photos. I am the kind of person who would put ‘so-so’ kind of pics and be even better in real - whether it is myself in meeting people or with my homes for hosting - than the opposite by putting up fancy pics and be worse and disappointing in real. This flat's rooms are: ROOM 1 (Double room). ROOM 2 (Balcony Medium Single room). ROOM 3 (Medium Single room). ROOM 4 (Corner Small Single room). ROOM 5 (Middle Small Single room). All rooms in this flat are for 1-female guest occupancy only. No 2 women or couples/friends sharing. The only exception is, if you are a mother with a baby or a small toddler, you may be able to stay for a short-stay (not long stays). All rooms in this Women's Flat are available either for short or for long stays. For longer-stays, there is a discounted rates. You can ask me. This women's flat has 1 bathroom (shower over bath, basin and toilet) plus a 2nd toilet. You will share these (and also the kitchen and the living room) with 4 other women living in the house. Please note that this flat is situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors (for UK/Europe). (For North America or East Asia, this would be 3rd and 4th floors.) There is no lift. You will have to walk up about 28 steps to get to the 2nd floor of the building to enter my flat. Then my flat is spread on two floors. The lower level has Room 2, the living room, the kitchen and the 2nd toilet. The upper level has Rooms 1, 3, 4 and 5 and the bathroom. So if you book one of these four rooms on the upper level, you have to go up the stairs again after entering my flat. (Room 2 has some of my belongings, and also in the living room and storage cupboards. You will sometimes have me sleeping in other bedrooms or the living room of this women's flat. (22min / 6 stops direct train to London Waterloo station in the heart of zone 1 in the city centre. 18min / 5 stops to Vauxhall station also in zone 1 in central London with Victoria line tube. 10min / 3 stops to Clapham Junction station for various other routes in other parts of London and outer London in the suburbs and southern/western Home Counties outside of London.) - Bus (3min walk from flat) to East Putney, Richmond or Hammersmith tube stations, from where you can take tube to central London. 2. ROOM PRICE There are long-term discounts for staying for a week or a month or more. Please do a search here or contact me by sending a message to discuss it with me. 3. AVAILABILITY & GARDEN Please check my listings and availability. There are 4 more bedrooms in this women's flat, but there may not be the availability as they could have been taken by other women. You can ask me. Or my family and I have I other properties in other parts of London for M and F guests, both private bedrooms in a shared flat, some ensuite bedrooms or bedrooms with a private bathroom, or some 'entire property' flats. WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE - Price includes everything including cleaning costs so you have absolutely nothing more to pay. In your room you will find all bedding and towels and your shared bathroom with toilet papers, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel (provided for those staying up to 1 month). (If you are staying for over a month, please get your own shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Thank you.) And of course there is free wifi. I provide standard toiletries (shampoo etc) that people usually buy from normal shops. If you need a specific type of shampoo etc., or need to avoid certain types, I cannot cater for such specific needs so please bring your own. - You have full access to a shared kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and eating. (Please bring your own food. Breakfast or food is not included in the price. But we would offer complimentary hot drinks such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate and some ingredients such as sugar, salt and pepper.) There is a fridge, stove cooker, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. There isn't a dishwasher. - The bedrooms are fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, window, drawers or cabinets/shelves and curtains. The living room has clothes horse clothes dryer rack. (There is no garden in this women's flat, but one of the bedrooms - Room 2 - has a balcony. This women's flat has a good sized living room with sofas, a dining table and chairs. - You can sit and eat or mingle with other people in the flat in the living room/dining area, but you cannot use it as your own private study space or in a youth hostel 24-hour common room kind of way). 5. AIRPORT PICKUP I have often given a lift to and from airports (or stations or any address within the Greater London area) in my car to our Airbnb guests flying in/out of London UK for a petrol cost contribution. (Given the time it takes to drive to and from airports, I am not really making a profit by doing this. I just recover petrol costs and I do this to help our Airbnb guests feel welcome and comfortable. Picking you up from a London airport for example can take 5 hours of my time. You see, I do this not to make money, but to help and welcome my guests in the Airbnb community.) Sometimes I have meetings, work commitments and can be away - I can usually confirm my availability for doing this for you 3 or 4 working days prior to your arrival or departure into and out of London airports. (If I am not available on the date of your flights, I can recommend or book minicab - licensed private hire taxis - firms for you.) The petrol cost isn't cheap but that is because in UK and Europe (unlike North America for example where petrol costs are between 30 - 40% cheaper), driving is very expensive as petrol costs are very high in most of western Europe. Also as of '2, there is a ULEZ (emission enforcement and taxes) charge to drive in London in addition to Congestion Charge fees that drivers face, in addition to spiralling cost of anything from electricity/gas costs and butter and bread to taxis and petrol cost that has rocketted and is now (as of mid-'22) record high ever per inflation adjustment since car was invented. You may find Uber or minicab taxis about the same or cheaper than me, but if you want me to pick you up from or drop off at your London airport station or any other address in and around London in my car for petrol cost contribution, you can talk with me, as I would look to see if I can help you. My car is an 8-seater SUV. It can have up to 8 passengers with no or little luggage, or up to 4 or more people with some suitcases/backpacks and bags/boxes. SUVs' petrol costs are already high, but now (as of mid-'22), it has really rocketted since the invasion of early '22, in that in the UK, the price of fuel has gone up from £1.35 per litre of petrol to nearly £2.00 per litre of petrol. SUV (8-seater): 1 women guest passenger (for Women's flat): - City Airport £75 one way - Heathrow Airport £85 one way - Gatwick Airport £85 one way - Stansted Airport £115 one way - Luton Airport £125 one way - Southend Airport £115 one way If you are interested in my airport (or station or any other address) pickup, I will need to know; - Your pick-up (or drop-off) location; - How many passengers there are in your group; - How many pieces of luggage you will have with you and approximate size of them in cm. I would then be able to confirm my availability and confirm the petrol cost amount in GBP £ for taking you to or bringing you from airports (or stations or any other address within Greater London or neighbouring counties). SHOPS, PARKS & AMENITIES NEARBY There is a small, family-run corner shop just 2min walk from the flat (you can buy food and drink from there) usually open till 6pm or 7pm (till about 3pm or 4pm on weekends), as well as a pharmacy next to it. Small supermarkets (Tesco/Sainsbury’s) open till 11pm everyday are just 13 - 17min walk. There are also large supermarkets (Sainsbury's, Waitrose) open until 8pm weekdays 17min walk or 35min walk/15min bus. 7. FREE PARKING, FREE USE OF BICYCLES, PARKS (SEE DEER) AND GYM/SWIMMING POOL NEARBY -This women's flat comes with bicycles that you can use for free of charge, complete with front and back lights, helmet and two strong locks per bicycle. - If you are driving and arriving here to my apartment by car, there is free off-street parking just outside our building. (It means you can park anywhere on this street free of charge.) Usually there are plenty of spaces to park cars. - There is Richmond Park (you can see deer) 17min walk (or 7min cycling) from my flat, which is a large park, with a cafe and toilets. - There is a public leisure-sports centre with a huge swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym and exercise classes just 10min by bus or 20min walk from our flat. (Putney Leisure Centre in Putney.) There are other gyms (without swimming pools) nearby. 8. NUMBER OF GUESTS, OTHERS IN THE HOUSE & NEIGHBOURS If you stay or live with me and other women, or with 4 other women in total (as this Women's Flat is a 5-bedroom flat for 5 women to live together by sharing the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom plus a second toilet). 9. COMPLETE 100% NON-SMOKERS ONLY Our flat is for NON-SMOKERS ONLY. (100% non-smokers only. We don’t take electronic cigarette smokers either. Also people who smoke weeds such as cannabis and marijuana, as with those who smoke e-cigarettes, are counted as smokers who smoke traditional tobacco cigarettes.) We do not take smokers who will not smoke in the house, whether they are the kind of smokers who only smoke outside or need to smoke in the house as well. For smell, hygiene, fire risk and home insurance requirement purposes, we can only take people who never smoke - regardless of whether they promise not to smoke in the house. Also, if you used to be a smoker in the past, you would have to have been a complete nonsmoker for at least 12 months before I can invite and welcome you to my properties. If you are not a complete, 100% nonsmoker, we cannot help you, so in that case please kindly look elsewhere and do not contact me, and I wish you good luck in your accommodation search.
