***Please Message me to ask about possible discounts and length of stay minimums.*** Located on a private road off Route 27 & on the way to Sugarloaf is this Log Cabin in the woods that is only 15 minutes to Farmington, 30 minutes to Carrabassett Valley & Sugarloaf area and about an hour to the Rangeley and Saddleback Mtn area. Currently available during Fair season! Don't miss the New Portland Lion's Fair September 11th-14th or The Farmington Fair September 15th-21st! The cabin is situated on 2 acres with tall Pines and plenty of wildlife. After enjoying a meal prepared on the grill relax on the front porch or down by the fire pit which is just up the trail from the stream that runs through the property. The Cabin has an open floorplan with master bedroom on the first floor and spiral staircase for the loft bedroom. Plenty to do in this area regardless on the time of the year. In the winter, warm up by the woodstove after a day on the slopes or simply turn on the Rinnai to heat the cabin. The home also has air conditioning to keep the place cool in the warmer months. The Master Bedroom on the first floor has a queen size bed and the loft bedroom has a queen bed as well. Sleeps 4 very comfortably and 6 if the pullout couch in the living room is used. The cabin includes all linens and kitchen essentials including k-cups for the Keurig. Plenty to do inside on a rainy day with various games and books. You will have full access to the 2 acre property, Relax on the porch or down by the firepit and challenge each other to a game of Bocce ball, Cornhole or Horseshoes! Snowmobile right from the front door (ITS 84) connection to the entire network of trails virtually at your doorstep! Porter Lake is only minutes away with two sand beaches for excellent swimming, fishing, and boating! The Wire Bridge is just a few minutes away, a cable suspension bridge completed in 1866 that is the last remaining bridge of its type in Maine. Crystal clear water is great for swimming or fishing. Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. The Outdoor center offers four season activities including mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating. Check out what the Anti-Gravity Complex has to offer with a skate park, giant trampolines, a climbing wall, basketball court, track, and gym. Enjoy the Carrabassett Valley Trail system as it is an extensive network of trails near Sugarloaf ski area. It has over 100 miles of tracks and trails! If golfing is your thing, one of Maine’s premier golf destinations, the Sugarloaf Golf Course should be on every golfer’s bucket list. the course offers panoramic views of the mountain and woodlands. With dramatic elevation changes and natural hazards, this 18-hole course is certainly challenging. Enjoy Hiking? Only 45 minutes away is Tumbledown Mountain in Weld with its iconic summit pond is one of the best hikes in Western Maine. The 5.6-mile Tumbledown Mountain Trail has three peaks, 700-foot cliffs, and a pond at the top for swimming. Several day trip options are available as well. Ira Mountain is a great spot to drive to for a picnic only 25 minutes away Jericho Steps is 20 minutes away via the Reed Brook Trail about an hour venture ending at a 30' waterfall. If waterfalls are your thing you may also want to check out Mosher Hill Falls In Farmington, Want a short hike with the kids? Daggett Rock is a 1/2 mile hike that leads to one of the largest glacial erratics in New England. There are several geocaches hidden around the rock. Smalls Falls is located about 30 minutes west Dining options are plentiful within 15 minutes A must visit for breakfast is The Kingfield Woodsman! Longfellows Restaurant has comfortable interior seating and seasonal deck overlooking the scenic Carrabassett River. Rolling Fatties Restaurant is a Maine food truck and restaurant specializing in locally sourced food in the form of a big FAT burrito. Enjoy burritos, bowls, and beers. They put on small musical concerts from local musicians during the summer months, so be sure to check it out. The Orange Cat Cafe, Homestead Bakery, The Roost, Tuck's Ale House, Farmington House of Pizza all right in Farmington just 15 minutes away. Check out the Maine Beer Shed in Kingfield for Maine made craft beers and farm fresh eats. Tufulios Restaurant is north of the cabin (between Kingfield and Carrabassett Valley) and offers Italian fare. The Sugar Bowl Adventure Center is in the same area and offers bowling, indoor golf simulator, bar, and restaurant.
