Welcome to the Grindstone Island Love shack! A unique property on the St. Lawrence River featuring a mid-century modern Tiny House and spacious 20 ft Yurt — a circular tent-like structure which originated in Mongolia. In protected Thurso Bay, this is a lodging experience in a natural setting where you can enjoy kayaking and swimming in the stunningly clear St. Lawrence River, hiking and trails through quiet woods to (the local winery), pizza oven and fire pits on the property, and so much more! Tiny House — Its tiny, but mighty, with a well-equipped kitchen, small dining/living area, master bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom, and two upper lofts with twin beds. Yurt — Spacious single room layout includes two full sized beds with small dining table, and two chest of drawers. Amenities — On the property please enjoy our two fire pits, 6 Adirondack chairs, pizza oven, gas grill, and 4 kayaks. The property comfortable sleeps 8 in its 2 full beds, 1 queen, and 2 twins with space in the yurt as well as sleeping lofts to accommodate more with provided 3 cots, and 1 queen air mattress. Guests have access to the entire property privately. Guests with limited mobility may have difficulty navigating the property with stairs and uneven surfaces. Property may not be appropriate for small children in sleeping lots or on the platform the yurt is built on despite the railing. While I won't be available in person, I will always be attentive over both text and phone. We have a strong network of people on the island and are happy to help out when needed in case of emergency, or for Information and recommendations. Property on an island NOT accessible by car, renters MUST rent their own boat to access the property. Once on the property, biking, walking, ATV, on dirt roads through the island. People do have cars on the island, but you would have to ferry one over which is not typical. If you are local to the island, there is road access to our property. MUST RENT A BOAT TO ACCESS THE PROPERTY. This is on an island not accessible by car. You will need to rent your own boat. Property includes 45 ft dock not accessible by boats with a draft of more than 3.5 ft (no sailboats; nothing over 28 feet probably)
