Description
Brae Cottage overlooks Whitehead, Islandmagee and Belfast Lough on the Causeway Costal Route and is 16 miles from Belfast. It is an ideal location to explore NI and provides guests with a quiet semi-rural location and yet is convenient to Whitehead where you will find local shops and cafes and also a train station with links to Belfast. Local attractions include Blackhead Coastal Walk, Whitehead Railway Museum and the Gobbins Cliff Path Walk which is located approx. 2 miles from the cottage. The space The cottage has an open plan living area with an open fire and stable door. Wifi and Netflix are provided for guests. There is a modern kitchen featuring a fridge with small freezer compartment, small dishwasher and a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests use. There are three bedrooms (two with sea views) and a family bathroom (shower only, no bath). Outside, there is a balcony to the front of the cottage where you can enjoy al fresco dining whilst relaxing and taking in the stunning views. Flood-lit private secure parking for one car is provided to the rear of the cottage. There is a small garden to the rear of the property where a picnic table is provided for outdoor dining. If guests would like to light a fire, a starter pack of kindling and logs are provided in the coal bunker at the back door. Complimentary weekly cleaning is provided for stays over 7 days. Brae Cottage has fantastic views over Belfast Lough, Islandmagee and Whitehead and sits at the top of the Raw Brae Road on the outskirts of Whitehead - the town centre is approximately a 10 to 15 minute walk from the cottage. The cottage does sit next to a road, however it is not a busy road. Guest access Guests are able to access all of the property. Other things to note Whitehead Golf Course is situated on McCrae's Brae. There is also a restaurant at the golf course for lunch and evening meals. The Fuzzy Beak restaurant is located at few minutes walk from the cottage and the Whitecliff Inn (bar and restaurant) is located beside Whitehead train station. Whitehead has several cafes and local shops. A petrol station is a few minutes drive from the cottage which also sells groceries.
