Other things to note For days further out, you're within easy reach of the open tors of Dartmoor (a big attraction for nature lovers and walkers) and the hills of Exmoor, while the North Devon beaches can all be reached in 40 minutes by car. Explore historic Torrington, home to RHS Rosemoor, Dartington Glass and The Plough arts centre. Whilst the Cathedral City of Exeter with its Roman city walls, shopping centre, theatre and restaurants makes a great day out too. Hire bikes in Barnstaple and cycle the Tarka Trail!
