An open great room with space for 10 yoga mats, a good library, sleeping loft, workout equipment and weights, hanging yoga swing, all very well insulated and climate controlled, but able to be completely open to the air by rolling up the 12’ garage door and the French doors in the rear. Idyllic countryside quietude, and a super unique experience. Fresh air lovers, rejoice! The space The Quonset hut is an open format great room with a 10'x38' area with kitchenette and bathroom that can be closed off with an interior barn and standard doors. There are mini split heat pumps for each of the two areas to keep the entire space the perfect temperature. There is one CA King sized bed in the sleeping loft in the great room. Wintertime? Curl up with books and a fire in the ample wood stove, and circulate the air with the 8’ ceiling fan. Enjoy this magical building while you watch the light dance through the day on the leaves of the large, commanding indoor trees and plants. The 12’ garage door opens onto grass and the driveway at the front, and the French doors in the rear open onto a lawn and garden that is very private. This property is perfect for meditation retreats or similar, as it is quiet and nestled into the hillside, ensconcing the compound in protective privacy by design. Then the natural beauty and the grand plant decor make constant treats for the eyes. Bring the outdoors in, and experience the feeling of spaciousness and beauty. This place sings in spring and fall when the doors are always open. Manny and Spooky are my supermodel sibling kitties. They have a cat door and spend some of their time napping in the Quonset Hut. Simply put, it’s their spot too, but they are gentle and soft, and super sweet. Fast internet and a Concept ll rowing machine, yoga props, yoga swing, and Bowflex adjustable free weights available. Mobile massage for one or several available. Stand up paddle guided or solo trips or rentals on the nearby French Broad River very easily available. Guest access For retreats on the whole property, the 1000sf earth-sheltered home, 600sf upstairs studio apartment with separate driveway, and 1200sf Quonset Hut are all available, to sleep a maximum of 10. Parking for maximum 8 cars, best is fewer than that! Other things to note The best way to be here is where most cars do not have to leave often. Parking is the least ideal aspect of the property. Best is for the group to nestle in and “be” on the property, so it is perfect for meditation and yoga retreats. Not to mention the vibe is such! There are four super solid parking areas at the bottom of the property, which is the level of the Quonset Hut and the earth-sheltered house. There is easily room for two cars at the top loop driveway for the studio apartment above, and there is space for two more cars along the highway pulled off onto the shoulder.
