Enjoy our cozy, private studio cabin in Idyllwild-PineCove next to the forest in a quiet neighborhood. Rustic, with modern features, the Cowboy Casa is a time capsule of cowboy & Indian memorabilia. There are 2 parking spaces, a private entry, full kitchen, bathroom with a shower, 10 in. memory foam queen bed, WI-FI & streaming TV. We live adjacent upstairs with our dogs who are very quiet. The space The Cowboy Casa is a rustic private and separate part of our authentic but updated 1940s cabin built with original Idyllwild milled knotty pine. The forest surrounds us and there is rarely a neighbor or car on the quiet Lane. The Casa enables access to a large fenced back yard with shady black oak trees. Your dog can independently share it with our dogs - just text us if our dogs are out, and we’ll bring them inside! We live adjacent upstairs but guests say they can’t hear us and that the Casa is very comfortable and peaceful. Great hikes nearby and just 3 miles from town. This is an extra quiet neighborhood and the cabin next to the Casa is empty. There are no street lights, so it’s too dark for crime! Because we live in the wilderness you may hear or see harmless mice, coyotes howling at night or a wolf dog at dawn and dusk. No worries. You’re safe! Dogs are allowed once approved. Our dogs do run and play several times a day in the back yard, so we ask guests not to interact with them, but to kindly ask via text or call if they wish to go out in the back yard. We will bring them in ASAP. Guest access When you drive to the Cowboy Casa, GPS will take you on a back, bumpy road, so we suggest the following these directions. Take the 243 and turn at the Pine Cove market onto Pine Cove Rd. Go straight about 6 curves and just after the yellow 10 mph sign, turn right at Green Craig. Veer right (up the hill past 5 houses on Chickadee Lane) and look for the cabin with red shingles. The Cowboy Casa is on the right with parking for up to 2 cars in front of the sign. Guests can park two cars outside of the separate entry to the Casa. They have access to the entire downstairs, and limited access to the back yard. We do live upstairs but are often gone during the day, and we are very quiet when guests are here. Other things to note This is an extra quiet neighborhood, with very few cars on the Lane. There are no street lights, but because this is the wilderness, don’t be surprised if you see or hear mice, or cayotes howling at night, and a wolf dog at dawn and dusk. We do ask that you text us if you would like to go outside in the back yard, or use the laundry room when we are home, so that we can keep our dogs inside. They are protective of us. Absolutely no smoking or candles on the property due to fire hazard.
