Cozy loft between lakes and mountains

Marie Jo and Sébastien will be delighted to welcome you to our gîte des Vernet. Rated 2 stars, it is located in the Albanais countryside, 5 minutes from Rumilly, 30 minutes from Lake Annecy or Lake Bourget, and 1 hour from Lake Geneva (and Geneva). We will be delighted to introduce you to the beauty of our region. The space Cozy and functional 2-star listed loft of approximately 48 m², located in the outbuilding of our residential house It consists of a fully equipped kitchen (except for a dishwasher), which opens onto a living room with a fireplace. The living room opens onto a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm), where there is access to a bathroom with shower and toilet. A ladder provides access to a mezzanine with a bed (140 x 190), which is recommended for children or teens (1.50 m high) We provide sheets, a duvet cover, towels, and breakfast essentials (coffee, tea, butter, jam), as well as oil and vinegar, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, tea towels, etc. Ideal for a couple or for a family with children Located next to our main residence, it has a separate entrance and free parking. The accommodation does not have a screen or TV, but it is equipped with a Wi-Fi router Access to the garden with a garden lounge area reserved for the cottage. Children's games available Non-smoking studio, but an ashtray is available for your use outside. No cats or dogs allowed in our gîte. For the summer, it is equipped with a mobile air conditioner. On request, we can provide all the necessary equipment for small children as well as a fire screen for the stove. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any other questions. Guest access Ideally located at the crossroads of 3 beautiful lakes: • 20 minutes from Annecy (lake, old town, etc.) • 30 minutes from Aix-Les-Bains (lake, thermal baths, etc.) • 60 minutes from Geneva (Switzerland – Lake) Chamonix, Geneva, and Lyon are an hour's drive away. You'll love our place because of its location in the countryside, in a quiet setting, and between lakes and mountains. 5 minutes by car from Rumilly (restaurants, cinema, shops, gas station, etc.) A 10-minute walk to access the Chéran River 15-minute walk to the Rumilly Leisure Center (children's play area, lake, go-karting). Multiple activities are possible within a 40-km radius: • Lakes • Paragliding • Via ferrata • Golf • Body of water (Lescheraines leisure center in summer) • Mountain biking • Fishing • Hiking (Parc Régional des Bauges, Massif des Bornes, Aravis, etc.) • Museums • Skiing • Natural site (Gorges du Fier, etc.) From the house, you can set off on a walking tour ("Chemin de la Pomme") or a mountain-bike tour. In winter, the nearest ski resorts are about a 35-minute drive away: • Semnoz family resort (downhill and cross-country skiing, summer luge) • La Margeriaz resort (downhill skiing) • 50 minutes from Le Grand Bornand or La Clusaz (downhill and cross-country skiing, summer luge) • 60 minutes from Chamonix (Mer de Glace, Aiguille du Midi, etc.) Other things to note Price is based for two people. An extra €5 will be requested for one or two additional people for the additional costs (cleaning, water, etc.). There is a cat as well as some chickens. The space is equipped with a washing machine (in our common area) and we put our dryer on request. Baby cot, highchair, baby bath are available upon request. The studio is equipped with waste sorting bins as well as a compost bin. Please let us know your estimated arrival time. We will adapt whenever possible. A book is at your disposal with all the tips and events and we provide our IGN hiking maps of the area. We also provide a raclette or fondue machine so that you can enjoy the specialties of the region, and on request, a waffle or pancake machine.
