Perfect stopover during travel or as a meeting point among friends and family coming from different states. Ten minute drive to I-64 interstate bridge, University of Charleston, downtown, and CAMC Memorial. Lovely views of city and Capitol during the fall and winter. The space The South Hills neighborhood is prized for its charming, forest-like atmosphere mixed with the ultimate convenience of a location minutes from downtown Charleston. This three bedroom, two bath home has undergone a major renovation that is complete. You will have access to three full bedrooms and two bathrooms. The home has wi-fi. After a two year absence from Airbnb, I have decided to rent the entire home out. You will have the entire home to yourself. The home comes with comfy sheets, comforter, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, towels, small personal fan, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher (safety first!). Washer and dryer are located in the downstairs bathroom. The home has several different vantage points, including a front porch with view of the Capitol, a lower front patio with view of the river, a side brick patio shaded by trees, a back patio with tons of sun, and several flat grassy areas. Due to its unique location in a curve in the road and a large hedge, other homes are barely visible. A large ceiling to floor window in the living room provides copious natural light, with a view of green trees in summer and city lights in winter. A perfect stop for folks traveling through West Virginia, or as a base to explore the nearby Kanawha State Forest, Fayetteville and New River Gorge, or any other travel destinations in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. You are welcome to look through any West Virginia related books or travel materials on the living room shelf, as well as any board games. The nearby University of Charleston has free parking and is a wonderful, flat area to enjoy an evening walk. Guest access Access will be from the main door with key provided. Other things to note If you are bringing a pet(s), please let me know ahead of time and I will make sure there are some pet blankets and throws available to you in the linen closet. For your comfort and other guests, we prefer no pets in the beds or furniture, but have provided some special blankets to use to protect the furniture. If you do have pets in the bedroom, please do not allow them to be on the formal comforters. Guests should be aware that all previous reviews of the home were made two years ago when the home was still under renovation and I was renting out a spare room. I am now renting out the entire house and will not be there personally. Smoking is not permitted in the home.
