Jungle House on Bluff Beach with air conditioning

Enjoy your holiday in the rustic jungle house as a nature and beach lover right under rainforest giants. Just 200 meters from the lonely long sandy beach and 9 km from the hustle and bustle of Bocas Town. The cottage can accommodate 5 people in 2 bedrooms, with an outdoor kitchen and large outdoor bathroom with a rainforest shower (with hot water!) and wooden bathtub. There is brand-new air conditioning in the house. Experience the jungle up close with exotic birds, howler monkeys, sloths and ocean sounds. The space The vacation home is located in the back of the property. You enter the vacation home via the spacious terrace with a cozy hanging chair and a hammock. From there, you can access the dining area with rustic seating and a solid wood table. From the dining area, you can watch the two jungle giants, howler monkeys and, with a bit of luck, sloths while enjoying your meal. Behind the dining area is the outdoor kitchen with a stove (4 hotplates and oven), fridge (without freezer compartment), sink and all cooking utensils, dinnerware and cutlery, toaster, a coffee machine and a kettle. From the dining area, you enter 2 bedrooms with shelves for clothes and suitcases, as well as a desk, which are located in the lockable interior area. The spacious, partially covered outdoor bathroom can be reached from the 1st bedroom through a lockable sliding door. The toilet corner is still on the upper platform, adjacent to the 1st bedroom, but in the outdoor area. The elegant double wash basin with large mirror, hairdryer and a wooden bathtub, as well as the rainwater shower with hot water under a large tree, offer comfort for extensive personal hygiene. The outdoor bathroom has two entrances, one from the enclosed interior area with the two bedrooms and one from the entrance terrace. We provide you with drinking water. Our tap water is untreated rainwater. You can purchase other beverages, such as soft drinks, beer, red wine and white wine, from us. For a fee, we offer a laundry service including drying (for $12 per washing machine load). Look forward to the impressive nature and biodiversity of the jungle's flora and fauna, discover shady hiking trails along the coast, walk with your feet in the water along the kilometer-long, secluded beach, splash/bathe/swim in the tropical, Caribbean sea that is 29 degrees warm year-round (not always suitable for swimming due to strong surf and rip currents), watch the surfers ride the waves and enjoy a cool drink at a beach bar. Bluff Beach is a popular spot for surfers, especially in the months of January to March and in July. Seasonal surfing competitions are held. The sea is calmer and often suitable for swimming in the months of September, October and November. In addition to the beach bar, there are 3 other restaurants at Bluff Beach that provide culinary delights with changing menus, as well as a souvenir shop with a small minimarket. Guest access You can move freely on our natural property, and we offer pure nature with howler monkeys that regularly visit us to feed in our trees. The red frog and many other exotic frogs are here in large numbers in the garden. An opossum lives in one of the jungle giants by the terrace at the vacation home, and it likes to make an appearance in the evening. We have also had a large coati in the garden twice, as well as armadillos. Many guests have already been lucky enough to see the sloth 🦥 that lives freely in our area up close in our garden. Nature lovers will be truly delighted! Other things to note There is no shopping at Bluff Beach. If you would like to take care of yourself, then you would have to plan ahead for your stay – but we can certainly help you through our own stock planning if something goes out or missing. We give you drinking water at your disposal in a large gallon. The tap water, as it is pure rainwater, is only suitable for shower and toilet and is not always completely odorless, as we consciously dispense with chemicals for the sake of the environment. We offer you a laundry service and are happy to give you tips and information about the possible activities in nature. The Bluff Beach area is a developing area. It is possible that construction work or gardeners can be seen and heard. From 5 pm there is always complete peace and you can only hear the sounds of the jungle and the sound of the waves. The apartment can be reached in a 30-40 minute, bumpy drive from the main town of the island of Colón. There is a local bus or taxis, and you can rent Quads/ATVs/ scooters as well as e-bikes in the main town.
