Farm stay in Lake Country

A quiet farm retreat with chickens and goats! Enjoy our bright, clean, comfortable, air-conditioned 1 bedroom suite with shared large gated yard surrounded by tall cedars. With quick access to three lakes, we are conveniently 8 mins from the Kelowna International Airport & 25 minutes from downtown Kelowna or Vernon. We are also minutes away from many popular restaurants, coffee bars, grocery stores, and pubs. Part of the Farm Gate Trail, we sell fresh free range eggs. Pet friendly farm! The space Welcome to Chicken Fart Farms! Our 650 sqft. private, 1 bedroom suite is bright, clean, comfortable, and simple. It is spacious with large windows overlooking a well maintained yard surrounded by tall cedars with direct access to a private patio area. **The hot tub in the photo outside the suite has been removed. Our short term rental business license for the suite has been approved by Lake Country District and the Province of British Columbia and is displayed in the entrance. There is also a simple equipped kitchen within the suite where you can prepare daily meals. The kitchen/living room/dining windows are in one large space and patio doors face EAST for you to enjoy the morning sun. The bedroom window and section of the kitchen/living room face NORTH. We have central air conditioning which is programmed to stay at 72 fahrenheit or 22 celsius. There is a dining table with 4 tall chairs, a leather couch and reclining chair, TV, with fire stick Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, Crave, and Amazon Prime Video. Our WIFI can be spotty. We have recently added a wifi extender for support. There is no dedicated office working space in the suite. The bedroom has 1 queen size bed with lots of storage space. The bathroom is located through the bedroom and has fresh white towels for your use. There are dark face clothes for makeup removal. We also have shampoo/conditioner/body wash for your stay. There are custom window coverings on all the windows, as well as curtains for extra privacy. Located in the common hallway between the suite and main house is a shared half bathroom and laundry room that is available to guests staying 3 days and longer, if required. One parking spot available, with additional parking available near the Quonset. Please message first to ensure availability. The patio features a BBQ grill with pizza oven for use. There are two padded chairs with umbrella for shade. Two hammocks are available for guests to use. The large shared yard is fully fenced and a wonderful retreat for your friendly animal(s). We require that you accompany your animal outside, as well as clean up any mess they make. Animal waste bags are in the suite for your use. Smoking/vaping, 420 friendly, outside only. Smoking is allowed on private patio outside of suite. Guest access The suite is self contained and located within a large house. The suite and the main house are separated by a hallway with a shared entrance. A half bath/laundry room are between the suite and main house. The suite is at street level which is accessed by 3 steps leading into the shared entrance and accessed by 2 steps into the private patio door that leads into the suite. The property is located just off Hwy 97 is on the only bus route in Lake Country ( Route 23). It is a 3 -5 minute walk from our door to the bus stop, depending on your speed. A vehicle is required to enjoy local lakes, and is a 5 minute drive to Wood Lake, 10 minute drive to Kalamalka Lake (Kal Lake), and 10 minutes to Lake Okanagan. We are close to grocery stores, food outlets, pubs, and other many popular spots for hiking, beaches, and a variety of water sports. There are also many wineries close by! Predator Ridge Golf course is 27 kms away, with many other close golf courses near by. We are a 1 hour drive from Big White Ski Resort (70 kms away) and 50 minute drive to SilverStar Mountain Resort (54 kms away). Other things to note - 1. Owners use/live on main floor and upstairs of house. Quiet residence. 2. The suite is designed and furnished to accommodate two guests comfortably. Our suite is not "child proof". 3. Our suite is not wheelchair accessible or handicap equipped. 4. Animals on property. There are 2 fully vaccinated dogs that live in the main house on property. Nova, is a small Japanese Chin dog and Cleo is a terrier. They are both very friendly and all up to date on their required shots. There are also two farm cats that linger about, but you will rarely see them. If you are bringing an animal, they must be friendly with other animals and not aggressive. Clean up of your animal waste is required. We request you do not leave your animal unattended, unless it is trained to be alone. We also request your animals are vaccinated to ensure the safety of our animals. Please provide information about your animal in your message. There is a $50 pet fee. 5. Fresh Free Range Eggs are for sale every day and are sold on property to local customers from our farm. Guest access You have direct access to the yard and patio that is outside of the suite. The yard is shared use. Our pups, Nova & Cleo will definitely come and say hello to you on your patio. Other things to note The electrical panel for the whole house is located in the suite and if in the event there are any issues, we will need to enter the suite to access the panel. This has never occurred, so this would be an extremely rare event. You will be notified immediately should this occur.
