Casa Torreta; village house with great views

On the edge of the authentic mountain village of Sedella is the striking house Casa Torreta. Located on a small square and with plenty of space in front of the door to enjoy a cup of coffee outside in the morning. From this house, there are several hiking trails in the nature reserve Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama. The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a living kitchen, a tower room and a lovely roof terrace. The space Casa Torreta is located on a charming square on Calle Gravina. The house can be entered via a few steps. Upon entering, you step into the spacious kitchen. This is spacious in design and if you like cooking, it is well equipped with all kinds of cookware. The kitchen has a built-in oven, electric hob, table-top refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle and microwave. In addition, there are plenty of dishes and other kitchen utensils available. It is also provided with basic ingredients, such as sugar, flour, spices and oil. In addition, the kitchen offers a dining table with an easy-to-operate pellet stove for the cooler days. The kitchen gives access to the first bedroom, the bathroom and a passage to the living room. The first bedroom has a double bed (160x200cm), an open built-in closet, a clothes rack and air conditioning for both the warm and the colder days. The first bathroom has a shower cabin, sink, toilet and washing machine. There is also an iron, ironing board and laundry rack in the bathroom. The cozy living room has a two-seater sofa, two armchairs. In the open cupboard, there are several books and games. From the living room, there is access to the tower of the house. On the ground floor, you will find the second bathroom, and on the landing, there are various cleaning supplies. Going up the staircase, you will reach the tower room. A lovely place to read a book or do some work (if you come for that). From this room, you reach the roof terrace via the stairs with beautiful views over the village, the mountains and, in clear weather, the Mediterranean Sea. The white village of Sedella has about 300 inhabitants and has managed to maintain its authenticity. In the village, there is a small supermarket, a restaurant and two bars. There is also a visitor center with lots of information about the area and nature. Every day (except Sunday), a baker comes into the village with his delivery van to provide the villagers with fresh bread. Twice a week, the fishmonger comes (Tuesday and Saturday) to sell his fresh fish from the back of his van. This spacious village house is suitable for 4 people (and possibly on request for a fifth person). The house is spacious and has high ceilings. In this house you will find a spacious living room, two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a tower room to quietly read a book or work from here, and a roof terrace with a dining table and chairs. Although the house is spacious, it is also ideal to rent for 1 or 2 people for a longer period of time. In the summer months (late June to early September), the municipal swimming pool is open, which can be used for a small fee. Sedella is about 45 minutes from the seaside resort of Torre del Mar, 15 minutes from Canillas de Aceituno, 20 minutes to Competa and just over an hour to bustling Malaga. The village is best reached via Velez-Malaga. The last 30 minutes of this road goes through the mountains (fully paved). Guest access The best way to reach Casa Torreta is to park in Calle Granada if parking spaces are available or at the entrance of the village. There are a few parking spaces in front of the cottage, but the narrow streets make it uncomfortable for everyone to drive through. Via Calle Granada, you can walk to the Casa in 1-2 minutes. Just before arrival, you will receive detailed directions, so you can easily find this beautiful place! When a personal check-in is not possible, the lockbox can be used.
