Our light-filled cottage is situated in a quiet street a short stroll to beaches, and local amenities. It is a 15 minute drive to the Devonport airport and a 5 minute drive to the local shopping precinct. Our peaceful cottage has two large bedrooms. Bedroom 1 contains a king size bed which can also be configured as twin singles upon request. Bedroom 2 contains a queen size bed. Detached from the house is a bungalow which also contains a queen size bed and has its own sitting area and toilet. The space Portsea Cottage is our 1950s two bedroom holiday shack. It has a few quirks but we think this adds to the relaxed atmosphere and character of the cottage. Bedroom 1 has king size bed which can also be configured as two single beds. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed. Detached from the main cottage is an external bungalow which has a queen size bed. The bungalow is great for an extra couple or teenagers who like their own space. The bungalow has sitting area with TV (with Telstra T-box) and its own toilet and vanity basin. We can also provide a port-a-cot/crib if required. If you require bedroom 1 configured as twin-singles please let us know at the time of booking so we can set it up for you. All bedrooms have heaters plus a central reverse-cycle heater in the main living area. A highlight of the cottage is the North facing private undercover patio area with BBQ and outdoor seating. This is a great place to relax or spend time with friends. The patio area looks out across a private, enclosed back garden which is secure for children to play. There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven and microwave plus all cooking utensils. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher. The bathroom has a separate walk-in shower and a full size bath. There is also a washing machine and clothes dryer in the fully equipped laundry. We have recently upgraded to a newer, larger capacity (250L) hot water system so there is now sufficient hot water for larger groups or my 3 daughters extra long showers. We provide a selection of board games and kids toys. At the property we have three bicycles for guests to use. There are lots of great places to explore by bike in the area. Helmets are provided.
