We are a living space in the mountains, created for those who feel the call to pause, listen, and reconnect. This bamboo cabin, suspended among the trees, is located by the stream and features a private natural waterfall. If words like nature, calm, well-being, or even permaculture and ecology resonate with you, this place is for you. Located 10 minutes from Cocorná’s town center and 1h30 from Medellín’s airport, in a peaceful and natural mountain setting. The space The cabin was built with our own hands, following principles of bio-construction and self-building, and is made almost entirely from natural materials, mainly bamboo, wood, and earthen plaster. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to integrate respectfully with the surrounding environment and landscape. The interior includes a double bed and a simple, cozy relaxation area. Outside, the cabin features a private terrace with a table and hammock, ideal for resting, reading, or simply listening to the river. It includes a private bathroom and a private natural shower, in direct connection with the surrounding nature. Located along the stream, the cabin also offers exclusive access to a small natural waterfall, about 10 meters away, where guests can immerse themselves and refresh. Guest access Here, you can move freely. Walk without rushing, listen to the water, and feel the rhythm of the place. You have access to a shared 80 m² platform, surrounded by nature and equipped with yoga mats, meditation cushions, basic equipment for movement practices, and musical instruments. It’s a space to move your body, stretch, breathe, or simply let your inner music emerge. At certain times, this same space becomes a place for evening fire gatherings, where you can sit around the fire and share moments in silence or conversation. You can also use the shared kitchen, equipped with everything needed to prepare your own meals, as well as the shared dining area, a welcoming space where it’s easy to connect with the hosts or other guests, share a meal, a story, or simply presence. The entire property is accessible: two streams running through the land, natural paths, and open spaces to walk, rest, read, or simply be. If you enjoy walking, from the property you can reach a waterfall by following an ancestral path over 2,000 years old (approximately a 2-hour walk). This hike is recommended only for guests experienced with natural, unmarked trails. About 20 minutes on foot, you’ll find other rivers with large natural pools, where you can swim or bathe, depending on natural conditions. As this is not a tourist area, it’s very likely you’ll find yourself alone, accompanied only by nature. Other things to note This place invites you to disconnect from noise and urban rhythm, and that also comes with a few important details to be aware of before arriving. - We recommend bringing a flashlight or headlamp, as well as comfortable walking shoes, since the paths are natural and not lit like in an urban environment. - Some of the project’s facilities include dry toilets, a conscious choice aligned with our ecological values and care for the environment. We will explain how they work in a simple way upon arrival. - There is no direct vehicle access to the cabin. Parking is located about a 10-minute by car from the center of Cocorña. From there, you walk along a peaceful path (10 minutes), allowing you to leave the noise behind and gradually enter the calm of the place. - For this reason, check-in is before 5:00 p.m., so you can arrive with daylight and walk safely and calmly to the cabin. This is part of the experience of arriving slowly and with intention. Meals We offer breakfast and dinner (evening) as an optional service, not included in the stay. For stays longer than one night, lunch (midday) is also available. Meals are prepared on-site using fresh, local ingredients, in a simple, nourishing, and conscious spirit.
