Here, you can gather around the open fireplace for cozy evenings or enjoy a movie on the large flat-screen TV. • Extra Sleeping Space: For larger groups, the living room includes a sofa bed with a pull-out trundle bed, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for extra guests. • Kitchen: Fully equipped and modern, perfect for those who love to cook with fresh local ingredients from the island's farm shops. • Bathroom: A clean, modern bathroom with a shower and toilet, also equipped with a washing machine for your convenience during longer stays. During your stay, you have exclusive and private access to: • The Entire House: The newly renovated villa is yours alone, including all bedrooms, the open-plan living area, and the modern bathroom. • Dedicated Outdoor Living: You have your own private terrace and dining area, perfectly positioned to enjoy the serene Fårö light without being overlooked. • Modern Essentials: Full use of the high-speed Fiber Wi-Fi (100Mbit), the cozy open fireplace, and the laundry facilities. • Parking & Grounds: You have free parking directly on the premises. While there is another guesthouse on the expansive natural lot, the property is large enough to ensure everyone has their own space and a sense of peaceful seclusion. Seamless & Stress-Free Arrival To give you maximum flexibility, we offer contactless self-check-in. Whether you arrive on the late ferry or early in the afternoon, your access will be ready for you via a secure lockbox. We will send you your personal access code and a detailed "Welcome to Fårö" guide 24 hours before your arrival. Other things to note Getting to the Island Fårö is a unique island located just north of Gotland. It is accessible via a free car ferry from Fårösund. • Ferry Schedule: During the low season, the ferry departs every half hour (on the hour and half-hour). • Night Travel: Please note that during certain late-night hours, the ferry operates on demand. You will need to call and book the crossing in advance (we provide the contact number in our welcome guide). • Peak Season: During the summer months, the ferry runs more frequently, but queues can be long. We recommend planning your arrival with a bit of extra time. Water Conservation & Quality Living on a beautiful, remote island means being mindful of our natural resources. • Limited Supply: Water is a precious resource on Fårö. We kindly ask our guests to be conscious of their usage and avoid long showers to help protect the island’s delicate water table. • Drinking Water: The tap water is fully tested and safe to drink. However, it has a distinct mineral aftertaste characteristic of the island. • Our Local Tip: While we drink the tap water ourselves, for the best-tasting coffee or tea, we recommend filling up water containers at the nearby public spring/water stations. We provide containers in the house for your convenience!
