A quiet, stay-focused retreat in southern Yatsugatake. A freestanding house set within 120 hectares of forest at 1,400 meters, offering clean air, starry skies, and deep silence. Located between Kanto and Kansai, it’s perfect for a few quiet days. A traditional Japanese breakfast is served on departure day. Car rental recommendations are available, and the host speaks English and Dutch. Access: approx. 2.5 hours by train from Shinjuku. The space ■ Bedrooms There are two bedrooms. Bedroom 1: 1 king-size bed Bedroom 2: 3 semi-double beds and 1 single bed For stays of 2 guests, please let us know in advance if you prefer a double bed or twin beds. For stays of 6 guests, two guests will share a double bed. ■ Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with: Refrigerator Gas stove Microwave (with oven function) Toaster Coffee maker Electric kettle Portable tabletop stove Full set of cooking utensils Basic seasonings such as salt, pepper, soy sauce, and cooking oil are provided. We also offer coffee, black tea, and green tea. ■ Workspace A dedicated work desk and free Wi-Fi are available. The space is suitable for workations and remote work. ■ Amenities Bath towels and face towels Hair dryer Toothbrush and toothpaste Body sponge and cotton swabs Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap Guest access ・The guest bedroom, living room, dining room, workspace, terrace, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are all for guests' exclusive use. ・As a rule, the hosts (a married couple) live in the same building, and the entrance and some of the corridors are shared with guests. We will respond promptly to any inquiries, while respecting the privacy of our guests, in accordance with their requests. Other things to note A car is recommended for this area. We can introduce nearby car rental companies and offer shopping assistance upon request, so first-time visitors can feel at ease. Please note that there are no supermarkets within walking distance due to the natural setting. Shopping is recommended in advance. In return, guests can enjoy exceptionally clean air, a quiet natural environment, and beautiful starry skies at night.
