Via Verde eco bed & breakfast - Room 1

*We have more rooms, see our other listings* This double room is located in the top floor and has amazing views of the beach and Santa Teresa National Park. It shares 2 bathrooms and terrace with the next room. You can see the sun rising from the sea without leaving your bed! Breakfast is included. The space Vía Verde is a sustainable off-grid house in the middle of a natural reserve, in a marvellous, low-key location: just in the entrance to Playa Grande beach and Santa Teresa National Park, and only 15 minute walk away from the town centre The house is powered by solar energy so we ask our guests to make a wise use of water and electricity. This room has a toilet and a complete bathroom which is shared with room number 2 . There are also several common areas with hammocks, tables and deck chairs to chill out. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can prepare meals, it is shared with the other guests and is open from 09.00 to 23.00. Breakfast is served from 09 to 10.30 am. The atmosphere in Via Verde is peaceful, a tranquil place to rest and connect with the surroundings, so we ask our guests to respect that vibe. We love music and having a drink, but if you are looking for noise and party this might not be the place for you… We live in the house, so we keep an eye on it all day long. Location: the house is a 2 minute walk away from Playa Grande and Santa Teresa National Park and 15 minute walk away from the town centre. At a 5 minutes walk there are restaurants, and two markets to buy food and groceries. If you are feeling lazy, there are also a couple of pizza , veggie and food deliveries. You can park outside the house. Our philosophy is to enjoy peace in full connection with nature. We also collect rainwater in a tank and we recycle the water from the sinks and showers in an artificial wetland. Devices that use big amounts of energy, such as hairdryers and irons, cannot be used here. As for security, the house is very safe. We live here so we are around 24-7. We have maps, brochures and information about the area and will be very happy to give you any advice you need. From Montevideo bus station there are plenty of buses to Punta del Diablo, the companies are Rutas del Sol, COT and Cynsa. There are regular services from the Montevideo bus station (called Tres Cruces, you can check the website for timetables).
