Our location is also central enough to be perfectly positioned to enjoy several possible day trips to major tourist sites in the area. The bedroom has doors which lead directly out onto the terrace. It is from this large terrace that you can relax and admire the amazing views. Our chalets consist of one large bedroom with floor to ceiling glass windows and doors that optimize the view of the surrounding wilderness, an eat-in kitchen, full bathroom and a lofted seating area that can also be used as a sleeping area. YOGA/MEDITAION HUT Imagine doing a sun salutation where you can reach your arms up and truly salute the sun. Practice in lush green vegetation, taking advantage of nature's yoga mat: grass. Breathe to the sounds of water, birds and the whispering wind that surround you. Become one with nature. HIKING AROUND THE PROPERTY What better way to behold the stunning surroundings of this area than to take on the rugged topography and hike through our trails within the forest, field, and falls. Exercise your body and your mind and energize your spirit all while experiencing the beauty of Sri Lanka. WILDLIFE Sri Lanka is home to some of the most exotic animals in the world. This area is home to many species of Monkeys, Peacocks, Porcupine, Pangolins, Wild Boar, and Sambar and Mouse deer, beautiful Birds and Butterflies. Any of which you may spy roaming the area during the day or night You are able to access the entire 8-acre property and I have set up hiking trails for you to explore. There is places set up for you to relax and read. Our wonderful House Manager will greet you on arrival and orient you to the house, local facilities and attractions. He will also be available for advice and assistance as required. House staff will provide daily housekeeping and cleaning, assist in the kitchen with food preparation and laundry. Local Village Tour The village Tour is part of an experience I have created to give you a chance to experience traditional Sri Lanka with all its authenticity. You will hike down to a local village where you will have an amazing butterfly experience and spend time with the villagers and understand village life. Engage with the local villages where you can drink king coconut, enjoy some local fruits, have a cup of tea and enjoy some local delicacies and a walk through the fields. Learn to cook traditional Sri Lankan food. You will finish off with an exceptionally delicious lunch, served in classic Sri Lankan style. You can go take a dip in a water stream that runs through or sit down and read a book, do some yoga or take a nap. You will be able to buy some local souvenirs from the village.
