The kitchen has everything you need for easy self catering, whether that’s a quick breakfast or a full festive meal, and the spacious dining table comfortably seats up to four guests with views over the garden. The lounge is designed for relaxing evenings and includes comfortable leather armchairs and sofa, a 40 inch TV with DVD player, and a wood burning stove for cosy nights in. 🛌 Bedrooms & Bathrooms Upstairs are two elegant ensuite bedrooms, offering privacy and comfort: • Bedroom 1: Super king (6ft) bed – can be arranged as twins on request • Bedroom 2: King size (5ft) double bed Both bedrooms feature modern ensuite shower rooms with power showers, sink and WC, making this cottage ideal for two couples sharing. 🌳 Outdoor Space Enjoy your own very private enclosed garden, surrounded by high hedging and fencing. The garden includes a decked seating area with outdoor furniture, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Steps lead up to a lawned area with open fields beyond. 🐶 Pet Friendly (By Arrangement) Well behaved pets are welcome. There is a pet charge per pet. For everyone’s comfort: • Pets must not be left alone in the cottage • Pets are not permitted upstairs • Dog gates are provided Please keep dogs on short leads outside, as there are friendly cats, chickens, lambs, and a large pond nearby. ℹ️ Important Information • We regret we cannot accept children under 8 years old • Private garden & entrance • Peaceful rural setting • Ideal for couples, friends, walking breaks, or relaxing countryside stays Guest access You have access to Moonseeker and your own private back garden. You will pass in front of the Farmhouse to get to your front door, but nobody else will pass in front of Moonseeker, so the cottage offers a high degree of privacy. There is undercover parking for up to 2 cars and a short walk from the parking area to the cottage. You can load and unload nearer to the cottage (about 20 metres). There is a pretty garden at the front of Moonseeker which is our garden, and guests are welcome to enjoy this area too, but no pets in this garden please, and beware of a very deep unfenced pond with slippery slate surround Other things to note Please note we cannot accommodate electric vehicle charging at present, due to supply capacity, but there is a nearby garage who operate GeniePoint - please enquire for further details We are located on the furthest edge of the village of Sampford Courtenay, famous for its involvement in the Prayer Book Rebellion and just 1.5 miles from Okehampton market town. The approach to us is about 200 metres down an unmade farm track, which truly feels like you are leaving the hustle and bustle behind. We have a Waitrose in Okehampton and they will deliver to the cottage. If you want to go to the nearest pub in the evenings, but don't want to drive, there are many taxi companies in the area. We can help with suggestions for where to dine - pub, fine dining, vegetarian etc and there is a comprehensive information folder in the cottage (with postcodes for sat nav!) The nearest amenities are in Okehampton town, including Waitrose, Lidl, Co-op and lots of cafes, antique shops, museum, cinema and leisure centre. There are dog walks from the door, along the lanes which are quiet, and you can walk to the woods if you wish. Dartmoor is about a 5 minute drive away, the nearest village being Belstone.
