Tanjenong Farmstay glamping - Mabi

Mabi - Gundungarra word for Quoll Mabi highlights the spectacular views available from Tanjenong camp. Mabi has generous decks, comfortable deck chairs and an umbrella protected outdoor dining area. The surrounding areas has bush walks that boast an abundance of wildlife. You will share Tanjenong Camp with a small family of alpacas which graze in the paddock surrounds and a maximum of two other couples well spread across the campground for privacy. The space This unique structure, built from homemade "aircrete" blocks, well insulated and warm in winter and cool in summer, houses a queen sized bed and an indoor eating nook. All bedding and linen is provided. There is an outdoor "mud" kitchen, with sink with cold running water, a fire pit to do your cooking on with some firewood to use for outdoor cooking. There is an adjustable steel cooking plate attached to the fire pit and cast iron pot and fry pan for an adventure in outdoor cooking. There is also a small outdoor gas ring which it is possible to cook or boil a kettle on without having to light the fire. All crockery and cutlery is provided. There is LED lighting in and around the dome. The communal camp facilities include two private showers with solar hot water and a spectacular view, two private toilets, and a 28 sq. meter camp kitchen with an indoor cooking area, a sink with hot water, a refrigerator/freezer, a dining area that seats six and a lounge area with a slow combustion wood heater for when the weather gets too wild for outdoor cooking. There are 3 bush walks with varying degrees of difficulty totalling about 15 kms through paddocks and bush and river valley. Guest access Maps will be provided to find your way around the campground which is about 250 meters off the main road. There is a parking area and two wheeled trolleys to move your supplies and belongings to your camp site and Camp Kitchen. We live across the road about 300 meters from the entrance of the campground, and are available to assist you to find your way around on arrival, if required. Registration Details Exempt
