Guest access The apartment is on the top floor of a Victorian house (c.1900) that has been converted to four separate apartments. Each have their own door, and are completely separate from each other. The top floor is shared with one of the other apartments. You will be given a code to the front door as well as to your apartment. No keys to exchange (or lose.) There is an on-site free laundry facility. This apartment is ideally for traveling professionals. In accordance with our agreement with the management company, upon booking we will also ask you for your ID, and to sign a Renter’s Agreement. Mail and packages are delivered to this address, but we really advise that you set up a PO Box at the Post Office or the UPS Store instead. Mail and package theft is notoriously present in Salem- it’s not location dependent. This is a building built in the year 1900, so the staircase is quite steep. You must be able to climb stairs to access this apartment. There is not a dishwasher in this apartment. On street parking in the City of Salem requires a parking permit. We will provide you with one permit. If you have more than one vehicle, you can park it two blocks away, where a permit is not needed, or you can obtain a second permit through the City of Salem. This is a safe neighborhood, close to everything. It is also a capital city; which means that an assortment of people are around. You may see and hear homeless people, loud cars, garbage trucks, trains, or overhead aircraft. We do offer earplugs for this reason. Although we have never had a problem, it is recommended to lock your car doors, as well as the apartment doors.
