Tree House Tranquil-A-Tree Romantic Escape
Does a little rustic romance tickle your fancy? Then take a step back in time to when home really was where the heart is. "When I stay at Lothlorien Woods Tree House it's like a place to live and love, not admire and be afraid to touch! It's rustic, simple, so easy to love and be loved!" Our Tree House is a unique example of life in a more primitive, idyllic time of greater appreciation for simple things in life. Come stay where it's really okay to "Slow Down and Watch the Moss Grow!" The space NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS, NO CROWDS AND NO POLLUTION…JUST PURE FUN AND RELAXATION NEAR THE END OF A WINDING COUNTRY ROAD TAKING YOU FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD Relax in the private hot tub, let the sun, the moon and the stars wink at you through the gentle undulations of the firs in the peace of Lothlorien Woods. Nestled in the foothills of scenic, snow-capped Mt. Adams, adjacent to the Columbia River National Scenic Area and close to wind-surfing, Hood River Oregon, Lothlorien Woods Hide-a-way is a serene and charming, one-of-a-kind tree-house hidden in the forest with a view of snow-covered Mt. Adams -- Second only to Mt. Rainier in the Pacific Northwest. On the main floor is the small but fully equipped kitchen, propane range and wood stove. The wood stove provides the primary heat for the tree house - firewood is included in the rental fee. A propane grill is on the covered deck, conveniently located just outside the kitchen door. Note: There is a non-functional dish-washer scheduled to be removed. The first floor sitting room has a fold-out "Full-Size" futon/sofa covered with a coverlet made by the co-owner, Rebecca Conant. On the wall hangs one of her first quilts, entitled, "A Trip Around Lothlorien Woods: The Importance of Water." Throughout the treehouse quilts and photos by Rebecca are on display. Up the spiral staircase find the handmade Western Red Cedar "Full-Size" log bed and unique bathroom facilities. Near-by all season activities abound - White Water Rafting, Kayaking, Swimming, Kite Boarding, Sail Boarding, Snow Shoeing, Cross-Country Skiing, Horseback Riding, Hiking, Spelunking in the Ice Caves, Waterfalls, and much more! Children: All ages welcome with some cautions - Please advise ages of children. Dogs: Most dogs welcome. Some restrictions and cautions apply. Guest access The Tree House is pretty private, but not isolated. The caretaker's house is several hundred feet across the meadow and there is a farm on an adjacent property. Everyone is respectful and noone infringes on our guests privacy except in event of an emergency. Situated all by itself in it's own grove of majestic, 100 year-old fir trees, enjoy your very own hot tub on the very private back deck. Directions: Following a beautiful drive on a winding country lane, with views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, the final approach is on a rock road through a mixture of forested and open (some recently logged) areas. It is not unusual to see wild turkey and deer - or even the occasional Bobcat, Black Bear, or Cougar on the drive in.
