Top Ways to Spend Your Time Here: - Start your day savoring a freshly brewed cappuccino, prepared to perfection by our professional latte maker, while soaking in the breathtaking views from the comfort of your rocking chair on the porch. - Spend your evenings basking in the tranquil ambiance around the fire pit, with a glass of fine wine in hand and a charcuterie board in sight, while gazing up at the starry sky. - Lounge in our cozy hammock, immerse yourself in a good book and take an afternoon nap surrounded by the sounds of nature. - Embrace the flavors of the season by picking fresh herbs from our on-site greenhouse for an exquisite home-cooked dinner under the stars. - Invite your friends and family for a night of friendly competition with our vast collection of board games, or pamper yourself with a spa night in the comfort of your own space, with plenty of skincare masks available for your enjoyment. - For the more adventurous, take advantage of our power cage, bike, free weights, and a challenging rototilled path, ideal for running uphill and downhill, to keep up with your fitness routine while immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Explore the entirety of the house, and don't forget to step out to the on-site greenhouse for some fresh herb cuttings. Satisfy your cravings with a variety of coffee and tea options in the pantry. Get ready for an evening of fun with the party games waiting for you in the ottoman. Lose yourself in the pages of our collection of books while soaking up some sunshine in the hammock, or perhaps indulge in a much-needed nap. For a pampering session, indulge in our selection of facemasks and enjoy a serene spa night. Although I won't be on the property, rest assured that I'm just a message or phone call away if you need me! I'm always eager to assist you in making the most of your stay, blending the best of both worlds with the perfect blend of country tranquility and city sophistication. As you drive through the beautiful, winding road to the property, make sure to take in the scenic panoramas of Mount Hamilton as well as greater San Jose. When you turn into our street, know that you’ll be entering farmland that’s been used for harvesting apricots for several decades but is also lush with almond trees as well as pink peppercorn trees - two of which line the southern courtyard of the house. In terms of nature, this neighborhood's got it all - you'll see cows, peacock, deer, gophers, cats, and you're just a stone's throw from one of the most beloved parks in the Bay, Alum Rock Park. Outside of the farmland, the greater neighborhood today houses some of the largest populations of Chicano-American and Vietnamese-American communities in the Bay Area. The neighborhood has so many amazing places to eat, including family-owned Italian restaurant Antipasto's as well as another family-owned gem, Mehak of India. It also has a historical bakery, Peter's Bakery, that's acclaimed across the bay for its Burnt Almond Cake - must try! I came to this neighborhood because it felt removed from the normal hustle bustle of the Bay and also wasn't your standard suburban community. It's a little more offbeat with smaller, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, but all within reach of downtown SJC and convenient to the highways and BART if you'd like to get to Oakland, Milpitas, SF. The location is convenient to 101, 680, shopping, and 20 minutes to Downtown San Jose. You will need a car to get around, but there is plenty of space for parking on the property. We invite you to bask in the natural beauty of this place, with its stunning sunrises and sunsets that are sure to take your breath away. Keep an eye out for the deer that love to graze in the grassy area below, and the birds that soar gracefully through the sky all day long. Just a few things to keep in mind during your stay: - We share this land with some friendly stray cats, so do let us know if you have any allergies. - While the slopes are gentle, please take care while exploring the great outdoors, especially if you're traveling with little ones who might need a helping hand. - If you're looking for some furry farm friends, our neighbor has a menagerie of cute little critters, from piglets to ponies, and we'd be happy to help you arrange a visit. - Getting here is easy, but the last stretch up Mount Hamilton is a winding road that some find a bit challenging. Don't worry though, it's a State Highway and we (and our neighbors) make the drive daily without any issues. Please make sure you're comfortable making the drive before booking. Finally, we offer special rates for longer stays and events, so be sure to ask us for more details. Our goal is to make your stay as peaceful, relaxing, and downright heavenly as possible.
