Fully furnished retreat house set up to accommodate 9 guests (for winter scrapbooking/crafting/quilting retreats) as well as families or small groups looking for a great getaway home! The house is fully furnished with a main floor master bedroom and bath. Each room is set up with a large bed and set of bunks to accommodate any group. The home has a total of 9 beds (2 queens, 3 fulls and 4 twin) allowing ample space for multiple families and large groups! Upon entering the front door, we have a main floor living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining room and a 1/2 bath off the entry and a large master bedroom/bath right off the living room. Heading to the lower level you're welcomed to the living space which is set up with 9 large tables for our crafting groups. There is a bar area with a full sized refrigerator in the main room. The basement also has a full bathroom (walk-in shower) along with the 2 other bedrooms. The 'blue room' is furnished with a queen and twin bunk beds and the 'red room' is furnished with a full with a twin over full bunk as well. ***During the summer months, the lower living area is converted to a second living room with couches to relax/watch tv and a couple of tables for games and puzzles. Guests reserving our home have access to the entire property. The homeowners are local residents and available for calls and texts during your stay and able to address most any concern that would arise during your stay. Our home is located on a dead end road, minimal traffic and many friendly neighbors. We are less than 10 minutes away from the closest small town, Oronoco and merely 15 minutes away from Rochester. Remote location perfect for your morning or evening gravel road strolls, huge yard for family activities and group games along with plenty of space for your evening campfires. We have a dock to use if you'd like to bring your own boat and is also a great place to let the kids jump off of and swim around or toss a fishing line in the water. For our spring/summer guests, we are located on the river portion of the Zumbro River with a short boat ride to access Lake Zumbro. Lake Zumbro is a reservoir and occasionally after heavy rain falls, the lake may rise ending up with a no wake zone until the water recedes. Kayaks are a canoe are available to our guests at no charge. Pontoon and fishing boat rentals are options for your stay, please contact owners directly for more information. For the sport of fishing, Lake Zumbro has historically been good for bass and pan fish.
