Come and Escape to Water’s Edge Hideaway ! Enjoy a quiet relaxing stay in this beautifully renovated and landscaped 3-bedroom south-facing Trent Riverfront cottage. It’s a perfect place to enjoy nature, swimming, boating or just relaxing. We offer a dock, floating dock, a canoe, kayak and stand-up paddle boards plus an outdoor “bar” and patio for cocktail hour. In the evenings, enjoy a fire in the outdoor stone fire pit or dinner in the screened-in gazebo. The space This 3-bedroom open concept dining room, living room, kitchen and sunroom has a spectacular and unspoiled view of the Trent River – nothing but nature and conservation on the other side of river. The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stove and oven, a second Jenn-Air stovetop gas grill/flattop, microwave oven, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer with an icemaker. There is also a convenient 2nd fridge in the mudroom for extra food and drinks and an outdoor gas BBQ under a covered area. Cozy up to the kitchen at the breakfast nook with bar height stools or take breakfast and coffee out to the outdoor bar with granite countertop and bar stools to watch the morning sunrise. Enjoy the warmth of a gas fireplace, centrally located in in the dining area. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, skylights, and ceiling fan and includes a queen size pull-out couch if you need the extra bed. Its new Gel Memory Foam Sofa Mattress makes this a very comfortable extra bed! Enjoy cable, Netflix and Crave on the 50” Smart TV. The bedrooms all have new Egyptian cotton luxurious bedding, pillows and duvets from Linen Chest and Sleep Country Canada. The spacious main bathroom has a new shower/bathtub, raised marble stone sink, marble flooring, custom cupboards and washer and dryer. The second bathroom is off the master bedroom and includes a stand-up shower, sink and vanity. The bathrooms are equipped with luxury towels. The cottage is very private and surrounded by trees and nature. The riverside front has been beautifully landscaped with armor stone and custom-built stone interlock firepit and patio, and includes a flower garden, patio bar with bar height stools under a wood pergola and decking to a screened-in gazebo. A raised wooden walkway takes you from the roadside around to the side entrance and front door by the river. For those who love the moon, our south-facing riverfront provides gorgeous views of the moon and stars. Those who love flowers will enjoy the dahlias, zinnias and geraniums I love to grow each summer. The side entrance has a keylock pad that brings you into the mudroom, a space for coats and shoes and includes the second fridge for beverages and extra food. This fully winterized year-round cottage has central heat and central air-conditioning, plus ceiling fans in the queen and double bedrooms. Bring your own Fishing Rods and Beach Towels! We provide firewood, kindling and newspaper - enough for a couple of days to get you started! Additional Kitchen Pantry items not already outlined under “Amenities” include: Salt, pepper, dried spices and herbs, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, brown sugar, tea, vegetable oil, olive oil, non-stick spray, Lee & Perrins (for morning Caesars!) , balsamic vinegar, white vinegar and soy sauce. Our coffee makers include: Fine Drip Coffee Maker and a Keurig Coffee Maker. Please bring your own coffee and coffee pods. Drinking Water: Our water is regularly tested and very drinkable. We also provide a filtered water cooler for your convenience. HST Remittance: Our pricing factors in the HST (13% in Ontario) we remit to Canada Revenue Agency. The HST we pay to CRA is included in the full price you pay Airbnb for your stay. Please let me know if you would like a receipt which includes our business number and HST we remit. Accessibility and stairs: Exterior includes a raised pathway from road/driveway to side entrance and riverside front of cottage. Two steps up and two steps from pathway into cottage. One additional step from mudroom into living area. Decking and stone landscaping include 1 to 3 steps to get around outside. ** Interior is all one level with the exception of 2 steps down to the 3 bedrooms.** Guest access Guests have access to the entire property with the exception of the 2nd larger garage and one locked closet in the master bedroom. At the back of the property on the other side of the road, there is a raised herb and tomato garden that the host will be planting, weeding, and watering through the spring, summer, and fall. Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden bounty! Other things to note We will be watering and maintaining the gardens and lawn as needed and we will arrange with you a convenient time that works best for you should this happen during your stay.
