Visit the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia nestled in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the quaint little German town it is today. Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest celebrations! Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are countless hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip. Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more! Our mountain cabin was built in 1997. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a kitchen and dining area. Nearly 1000 sq. ft. of wrap around screened in porches to take in the fresh mountain air and sounds of running water. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, slip into the hot tub or sauna with a glass of wine or make s'mores by the camp fire out back.
