Approaching the house you will be met by the beauty that is Floral Terrace - a pedestrian only brick walking path with ornamental gardens maintained by the residents. This beautifully updated home maintains its original 1912 charm while providing modern comforts along with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The first bedroom (2nd floor) features a king size bed, dresser, and ceiling fan. The second room (2nd floor) includes a full size bed, desk, ceiling fan, closet space, and access to the sun room overlooking the terrace. The third bedroom (2nd floor) includes a queen size bed, desk, television, and closet space. The fourth bedroom (3rd floor) is large with two twin size beds, reading nook, and a free standing AC unit (beware of low ceilings on third floor); this room also has ample space to place a queen size air mattress for additional guests. Also on the second floor is a full bathroom with dual vanities and shower/tub. The first floor features another full bath, large fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with queen sleeper sofa, entryway, and laundry room. Outdoors you will find an excellent porch facing the terrace, a well-kept backyard oasis, and small garage (one compact car only). We have one dog that will not be present during your stay. Floral Terrace is a tree-canopied brick pathway with iron gates at either end. The house does not face a road and the intimate setting gives the feel of stepping back in time to the early 1900s. The larger neighborhood, Old Louisville, is filled with many gorgeous victorian mansions and is itself one of the must-see attractions of a visit to Louisville. We are a short walk away from St. James Court and a long walk/short ride to Churchill Downs. There is space for one compact car in the garage off a narrow alley behind the house. Street parking is readily available throughout the neighborhood for any additional vehicles. There is a bus stop at the end of the terrace for easy access to downtown. We are a short bike ride from downtown and the Highlands. Ride-sharing services are also readily available by phone.
