Description
Small rural farm atmosphere glamping campsite with plenty of trees and plenty of your own personal space! Ten minutes from shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. Near enough to the city for convenience, far enough away for some rest and relaxation. Animals are around, so please ask about any allergies or special considerations ahead of time so you have a good experience! The space Welcome to our farm glampsite! Our friends told us for years that we should create something like this...so we did, and we hope you enjoy it! Queen size bed, plates, utensils, cookware, everything you need for a great getaway for up to two guests! Our homestead property is 15 acres with trees and open pasture supporting regenerative agriculture. You will see cows, cats, chickens, pigs, ducks, sheep, and gardens. You will be surrounded by sounds of a family farm while being near local attractions, dining, and shopping. Property is conveniently located near Loveland, Johnstown, Berthoud, Fort Collins, and Greeley. Less than 15 minutes from The Ranch events center which hosts the Larimer County Fair, concerts, sporting events, and more. Also near sports tournament sites such as Loveland Sports Park, NOCO Sports Center, Power 2 Play, and Fort Collins Soccer Complex. You will glamp in a nicely-arranged safari-type tent on a raised deck in a meaningful setting with beautiful views. Your companions are sunrises, sounds of a traditional farm, sunsets, and night skies. PLEASE NOTE that free range chickens and farm cats are usually around, so if you have allergies then you might consider other options or ask ahead of time, and if you plan to prepare food outdoors then you will want to pay attention so that you're not sharing with them on accident :) Enjoy a clean private outhouse, fire pit, picnic area, grill, and patio seating in peaceful surroundings. (NOTE: Some older pictures show a nearby pond, which is no longer active. There is a small irrigation water creek nearby that is seasonally active.) Owner/resident lives onsite as well in a home close to the tent area. Tent area has a privacy fence and separate access. Most guests have commented that it feels private and secluded. Located about 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, and 10 minutes from local shopping and dining options. There is road noise about a 1/4 mile away, mostly during the day and some at night. If you desire something really secluded, you will find better options elsewhere. Most guests have said they were not bothered by that noise, but everyone is different. Feel free to browse guest reviews. Please contact us if you have any questions about staying with children or extra guests as we may be able to accommodate special requests. ******* SEASONAL NOTES: Average high/low temperatures (degrees Fahrenheit): January 44/16 February 44/17 March 57/27 April 62/34 May 68/42 June 84/53 July 88/59 August 86/56 September 79/48 October 64/35 November 52/24 December 42/16 The temperatures and weather conditions can vary greatly throughout the year. Please plan accordingly and see notes below for seasonal tips. WINTER: 1.) Drinking water is provided year-round, and we will use water containers in a cooler during freezing months. Feel free to bring extra water if you wish. 2.) The wood stove keeps the tent nicely warmed, but only when it is tended. You may wish to review how to start and keep a wood stove. If you search for "Four Dog Stove" or "wood stove in tent" you will find some tips and videos relevant to our setup. SPRING: 1.) May, June, and July are when we see the most thunderstorms, wind, and rain/hail. Guests report being dry and feeling safe, feel free to browse their reviews. 2.) Moth season usually comes during May/June and lasts a few weeks. They are not harmful, but they can pop up out of small spaces and surprise us. We try to mitigate them with moth traps and bug zapper lights. SUMMER: 1.) We provide a small battery-powered fan. Feel free to bring an extra depending on the forecast. 2.) The daylight and sunrises and sunsets are long and beautiful. AUTUMN/FALL: 1.) Many people enjoy this captivating season for camping. As with Spring, the weather varies greatly, so come prepared. 2.) Autumns are usually calm. Snow can come in October and November, and we provide wood for the wood stove as needed. ******* ------- Special notes or common questions: * Some guests ask about pets. Currently we do NOT allow pets. This is due to the nature of having farm animals around, the desire to limit issues for people with allergies, and to help maintain the cleanliness of the accommodations. Thank you for your understanding! * There is no shower available. Some guests have brought a popup "shower cabana" to use and that is acceptable, also! * We continue to make adjustments and improvements as people share their thoughts and ideas. If something wasn't available last time you checked, we may have updated the glampsite since then :) Guest access You will have a private space near the resident's home, but separated by privacy fence in a space all your own. Feel free to enjoy the surrounding trees and observe the birds and various wildlife nearby. Other things to note When sending a booking request, please include a few details about your trip. This greatly helps us know that you as our guest will care about the place where you stay! This is a farm property and a small working homestead. We are glad to host you and trust that you will enjoy it respectfully! There is also space for an extra tent if desired! Please contact us if interested in staying with children or extra guests. Outdoor propane stovetop is available for use. Also, there is a cooler and you can bring your own ice if you wish!
