The Wahlhausen Camping Oasis is nestled in the beautiful Werra Valley, right on the river of the same name along the Thuringia-Hesse (formerly German-German) border. The spa town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf is just a few kilometers away and, in addition to the cycling and hiking opportunities in the Werra Valley, offers local recreation, shopping, culture, and much more. The campground’s location right on the Werra River is perfect for a canoe trip through the valley. One of Germany’s most popular long-distance bike trails, the Werra Bike Trail, also runs right past us. The campground offers space for tents, RVs, and permanent campers. In addition to the restroom facilities and laundry rooms, you’ll find a restaurant serving hot meals at the Wahlhausen Campground Oasis. The “Schlafkota” is a hexagonal cabin designed to accommodate 2 people. The cozy French bed (1.40 x 2.00) is provided with linens. Electricity and heating are available. There is also seating inside the Schlafkota. Campers can use the campground’s restroom facilities.
