We are waiting for you with our dog Oropa. The space Cascina Colombaro is a historic farmstead nestled in the green, among wheat fields, wild hills and woods full of biodiversity. We decided to transform the old farmhouse into a sustainable oasis thanks to photovoltaic panels, water and energy saving, a synergistic garden and the reuse of materials, which we combine with respect for the environment around us. Here you will find peace and relaxation if you wish, or adventure and fun if you are interested in experiencing nature in an active way. In the surrounding area you can go cycling and trekking in the Monferrato hills and on the VenTo cycle path or on the Po-Monf trails. Your companions during your stay will be the flora and fauna that we respect with dedication and study: from the colourful butterflies to the fox cubs, from the majestic oaks to the small flowers that nourish our bees, from the singing of the birds to the roe deer footprints near the house. In the silence and tranquillity of the countryside, but not far from everyday comforts. You can meet our rescued chickens, cuddle our dog, play the board games we offer, enjoy archery or cool off in the sustainable swimming pool. Guest access The private (unguarded) parking area is at the back of the house, which you can easily access from both roads leading to the farmhouse. Inside the property you will find a one-hectare fully fenced garden and other hectares of land and free, unrestricted woodland where you can let your dogs and children run around. Other things to note In the surrounding area there are numerous restaurants, trattorias, taverns, pizzerias and bars which you can reach in a few minutes by car to enjoy typical dishes for your lunches and dinners. Less than 5 km away there are two pharmacies, a bakery, grocery shops, tobacconists and a post office. At 15 minutes by car you will find the town of Chivasso with all the comforts and amenities, including many restaurants, cinemas, theatres, nightclubs and shopping streets, while at 30 km there is the nearby Turin, Piedmont's capital with all the tourist and cultural activities it offers. In the surroundings of the structure it is possible to do cycling and trekking on the hills of Monferrato and on the VenTo cycle track or on the Po-Monfino paths.
