Choose a book from bursting shelves in the library, or settle on the sectional for a show on the SMART TV. The space The seasons are alive at Fern Rock Cottage! With front and back decks and a private deck off the master bedroom, there is much opportunity to take in your woodsy surroundings year round. Bring your kids, your dog, or just escape with that special someone— privacy and peace and tranquility are here. Sit outside around the gas fire pit, bring out your inner grill master on the BBQ, or sit in the comfy chaise lounges on the back deck. Inside— the home features wide plank pine floors, a wood stove, forest/country/mountain/lake views from almost every window and a definite cottage vibe. There is a big sectional in the family room, perfectly distressed leather club chairs to sink into in the library, and comfy beds with fresh pillows, down duvets and luxury linens in the bedrooms. The mudroom will help absorb your travel bags and/or ski equipment, and a full sized stackable washer dryer is ready to clean your weekend play clothes before you return to the "real world." There are three bedrooms— two with Queen beds. Bedroom three features a Queen bunk, with a Twin bed over top. Fern Rock is situated within 30 minutes to Mohawk and Catamount for skiers and snowboarders. Salisbury School, Hotchkiss, and Berkshire School are minutes away for families visiting their boarding students. Enjoy the stunning pond view, but it is private, so no boating, fishing or swimming. You can get your lake fix by heading to "The Grove" just two minutes away at Lakeville Lake to swim, sun, or take your kids to the playground. Guest access Guests may access all of the property, except the barn. The pond is private so no swimming boating, fishing or kayaking is allowed but it is very pretty to look at! Other things to note We are happy to customize your visit! If you request (and we are available!) we can have a roaring fire in the wood stove ready for your arrival, or a bottle of your favorite wine chilled and waiting.
