This charming barn conversion is situated on a quiet country lane in the heart of the Ayrshire countryside, close to the town of Mauchline famed for its connections with Scotland’s National Bard Robert Burns. For the outdoor enthusiast the River Ayr Way lies close by with over 40 miles of walks through one of the most interesting valleys in Southern Scotland with a wide range of habitats and wildlife. Also easily accessed is the wonderful Ayrshire Coastal Path, over 100 miles along one of the finest panoramic coastlines. Inland there are gardens and castles to visit, riding, racing, a choice of golf courses and several country parks to visit with Prince Charles Dumfries House & estate with its unrivalled collection of Chippendale furniture and Culzean Castle with a network of wooded trails passing along the beach being hugely popular. The Dark Sky park is approx. 20 miles with the Dark Sky observatory at Dalmellington proving a popular visit. The bustling cosmopolitan city of Glasgow is only a 45 minute drive & Edinburgh approx. 90 minutes. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is only 45 minutes away and the ferry links to the islands of Cumbrae, Bute and Arran are all close by and make an excellent day trip. Beach 12 miles.
