The Quarto do Vaqueiro (Suite 23 m2) is in the ground floor of the main house (Casarão). The Casarão is an imposing country house, recovered, having been returned all the traces, character and unique beauty of erstwhile. It is a family home with the hosts living on the first floor. The space Leaving Tomar and following the Estrada do Prado, skirting the banks of the River Nabão, you arrive at the picturesque village of Pedreira, whose name derives from the fact that it is here that some of the stones that helped to build the Convent of Christ (heritage world) in Tomar. The Casarão itself, also built in stone, boasts imposing slabs on its balconies, engraved with fossils of marine animals that support the thesis that the sea, in remote times, “has already passed through here”. The Quarto do Vaqueiro, so called because it was where the cowboy responsible for the cowshed slept, at the time on a mattress of corn shirts placed on top of a rock. To our pity, it was necessary to lower this rock, to adapt the room to the present day. It gives direct access to the courtyard of lemon trees and a balcony that allows small meals outdoors. It is furnished and decorated with refinement and comfort. The environment is quiet and selected and gives full privacy. The property is walled with high fortress-like walls. Given the depth of the pool, young children or those who do not know how to swim are recommended to use armbands and permanent adult supervision. Accessibility: as it is an old house, the property has unavoidable architectural barriers (stairs and uneven slab floor) for people with severe motor difficulties. All stairs have handrails.
