Jasmine Cottage, Porlock

Jasmine Cottage is a charming stone and brick built cottage dating from the turn of the last century, since extended to include an open-plan kitchen-dining room with doors onto the rear patio garden. It sleeps up to 6 guests across three bedrooms, comprising two doubles and one bunk-bedded room. The space One double has a vaulted ceiling and en-suite bathroom with bath, toilet and hand basin, while a family shower room with walk-in shower serves the rest of the cottage, along with a ground-floor toilet and hand basin. The front door opens into a small porch leading to a cosy sitting room with an open fire and coastal views, flowing through to the dining area with a wood-burner, and on to the newly fitted, well-equipped kitchen extension with electric range cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine. Double doors from the kitchen open onto a landscaped, terraced patio-style courtyard garden. Outside, a garden gate leads from the parking space into an enclosed front garden with a lawned area, bordered by a low stone wall, with a side pathway giving access to the rear patio garden with sea views. Off-road parking is available for one car outside the garden gate. Extra comforts include a travel cot, high chair and stair gates, plus a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Bed linen and towels are provided, and electricity and heating (oil-fired central heating) are included in the price, with logs and kindling supplied for the wood-burner in cooler months. Dogs are welcome for a GBP 20 supplement per dog per stay, up to two medium-large dogs or three small dogs, provided they are well-behaved and kept off the furniture and upstairs areas. The property is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility and has no wheelchair access. Strictly no smoking. Changeovers are Monday or Friday only, with arrival from 4pm and departure by 10am. At Christmas, a few lights and subtle decorations can be put up ready for your arrival.
