Description

Min y Don is a colourful Bolthole, which sits above the sandy estuary of the Afon (river) Ffraw. The space It looks out onto the huge expanse of sand dunes and long sandy beach beyond which makes the coastal village of Aberffraw so popular. Inside you'll find newly renovated, bright and cosy holiday cottage perfection. This lovely holiday cottage sleeps 4 and is dog-friendly, with miles of coastal path waiting to be explored with a waggy friend. A lovely entrance hallway leads to the sitting room with comfortable sofas and armchairs, a toasty wood-burning stove and of course those ever-present views. Beyond there is a separate dining room, again with a wood-burning stove and a dining table with a bench and chairs. The comfy sofa here is perfect to relax on after a meal or to tuck yourself away for a read, away from the TV. Through the dining room, there is a small, bright and well-equipped kitchen. A rear door leads out to another lovely seating area to the rear of the house. Upstairs, you'll find a cosy twin bedroom to the rear and the family bathroom. The double bedroom to the front of the cottage looks out over the beautiful sea views. Aberffraw is a great location for exploring the south and west coasts of Anglesey. The Anglesey coastal path is nearby and you will discover beach after beach of beautiful golden sand and rock pools, all with a backdrop of the Snowdonia mountains and the peaks of the Llyn Peninsula stretching away into the distance. Y Goron (The Crown) is a good place to eat out or enjoy a leisurely pint (check opening hours) and Hootons Homegrown farm shop, Plas Newydd House and Gardens and The Oyster Catcher are a short drive away. Within 20 minutes you can be in Menai Bridge, home to a range of cafes, restaurants and pubs and a well-stocked Waitrose supermarket. Is there a better spot anywhere on the island to enjoy a sunny lunch or an evening sundowner than on the terrace in front of Min y Don? We don't think so!
