If you don’t want to drive anywhere you have a pretty little beach within walking distance from the house, and Mermaid Reef for snorkeling the same short walking distance away in the opposite direction of the beach. Dyron North Little Rock, Arkansas Rating, 5 stars ,January 2023 Group trip We stayed one night after renting a sailboat for a week - Carl was able to get us checked in early so we could stash our stuff before heading back to the harbor to say farewell to a couple of our passengers with a rum beverage toast at the local tiki bar. Carl was very responsive and even offered a shuttle back to the harbor. The space was great for our 5 remaining passengers, and could’ve accommodated at least two more. We had the downstairs space; the upstairs space looked just as nice and could sleep quite a few as well. So great spot for a large group, right on the water, and we could envision being able to enjoy the outdoor deck and direct entry into great snorkeling - had the wind not been blowing 30 mph the whole time we were there! We were glad to not still be on the boat, and instead in our cozy place out of the wind. This will be a great option for Marsh Harbour as they recover from Dorian! Also you don’t have the place to yourself as the lower level can be rented separately and there is little to no sound barrier between the two units so if you have very loud neighbors, like we did during our stay, there isn’t much peace and quiet if that’s what you are looking for. With that said, we still recommend the place as the good definitely out ways the bad. Extremely comfortable, very well-appointed, especially for Marsh Harbour. The views are spectacular from every room. We stretched out on the HUGE terrace with our morning coffee, and watched the sun set into the sea while firing up the evening bbq. It was very private and very quiet during our stay, as the popular Jib Room restaurant/marina across the street wasn’t open. The area might be a tad more “lively” once it reopens, but the bonus will be having a great resto/bar/marina steps away. In any case, this is a fabulous place to stay, first-rate location, Carl is super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. The location is private and quiet. YOu will be in close proximity to the ferries going to Great Guana Cay and Elbow Cay. There are shopping options and restaurants within short distance from the home right there in Marsh Harbor. We would definitely stay again.!
