Hummingbird Cabin @ Ramsey Canyon Bird Sanctuary

Relax and enjoy a private house at our bird sanctuary surrounded by an amazing variety of birds, coues deer, Goulds turkey and an abundance of wildlife. The house has (2) king bedrooms/bathrooms BUT if you only have two guests and want BOTH beds/baths you MUST request them in your rental inquiry. This area is known as the hummingbird capital of the US. The property consists of 9 acres, 90+ bird feeders, 3 Bird Gardens, over a mile of trails and a seasonal creek. The preserve is 1/4 miles away. The space The Hummingbird house has everything you need for a relaxing nature filled stay. A comfortable living room with 2 sofas and a smart TV when you are done soaking in the nature. The included front room has a King bed while the add on additional back room has another King bed and attached 2nd bathroom. IF YOU WANT TO INCLUDE BOTH BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS, YOU MUST REQUEST THEM IN YOUR RENTAL INQUIRY and there is an additional charge. The dining area has windows all around so you can enjoy the outdoors while inside. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen including full size gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, French press and ground coffee. There is a ventless propane wall unit for heating as well as an electric fireplace. Cooling in this unit is by evaporative cooler. Guests love the wildlife that is at your doorstep everyday. Deer and Goulds Turkey frequent the property daily as well as an amazing variety of birds. We have 4 nature trails within our 9 acre property that is shared with other overnight and day guests. The 3 Bird Gardens host all sorts of birds and hummingbirds that visit. Points of interest within the property are the 3 bird gardens one of which is just outside the house front porch. 4 trails are Valley View, you can see down to the town of Sierra Vista and across the valley to the Dragoon Mountains, Majestic View, for the amazing canyon cliffs view at the spot, Creekside which follows along the seasonal creek and the Outer Loop. Chairs and feeders are at these locations as well as along the other trails so you can sit, relax and take in Ramsey Canyon. If you choose to walk the trails staying on the rock lined paths is REQUIRED. Guest access We have 3 amazing Bird Gardens and over a mile of nature trails within our 9 acre property that is shared with other overnight and Day Guests. We offer guided property tours for an additional fee. Points of interest within the trails are Valley View, you can see the Sierra Vista valley and Dragoon Mountains. Also we created a trail aptly named Majestic View, for the amazing mountain views of Ramsey Peak. Chairs are at these locations and many more to sit and relax a while. If you choose to use our trail system staying on the rock lined paths is required. Other things to note We do provide high speed WIFI, however we will not guarantee any certain speed. There is cell service for all carriers but it could only be one or two bars. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OR FIRES ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY DUE TO EXTREME FIRE DANGER NO ANIMALS will be accepted due to the abundant wildlife and the hosts documented severe allergies. If you are found bringing an animal you will forfeit your $500 deposit and be required to leave immediately. You might see or encounter wildlife while in our home or on our property, including, but not limited to: ring tailed cats, raccoon, skunk, coatimundi, birds, bees, mosquitoes, mice, spiders, ants. These creatures reside in nature and we have no control over them. We cannot control mother nature and therefore do not refund if you encounter her business during your stay.
