Glorious 1 bedroom hilltop garden apartment
Incantevole borgo con piscine
Description
Live the laid back alfresco lifestyle with magnificent views at the resort that inspired the racy novel “When the Siren Calls”. This is the perfect spot to both chill out and to explore Tuscany, with Florence to the east, Pisa and beaches to the west, Lucca to the north and Siena to the south. All within 30 to 90 minutes drive. The space A spacious and authentic ground floor Tuscan garden apartment with high ceilings, exposed beams and terracotta floors. Great views from your own lawned garden dining area immediately outside the door. If two couples or a group are sharing then it’s useful to know that the bathroom is conveniently located between the lounge and the bedroom, and that the restaurant toilet and washroom are a few steps away from the apartment and is accessible 24/7. There are more showers at both pools. Guest access The apartment is all ground floor with super wide door and step free access. (But the resort as a whole is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters). Other things to note You are booking a privately owned apartment that is part of a condominium (home owners association). In 2003 the whole Borgo was painstakingly restored and transformed from a country farm manor into a special, exclusive estate. The complex is professionally maintained, with beautifully manicured gardens, olive groves, cypress trees and two swimming pools (plus a shallow children's' pool) all with panoramic views. The Condominium employs its own friendly and helpful maintenance staff. Please look out for them and say hello, they drive the green buggy. As the guest of an owner you may use all the communal spaces and amenities, including pools. The restaurants on site are private concessions, and the staff are employed by the restaurants. The Karma international resort chain owns the main Villa (12 suites) and the gatehouse, and employ their own staff to receive and service guests of the Karma Group. The Restaurants opening and closing may vary at their discretion. Book lovers will be interested to learn that Borgo di Colleoli was the inspiration for the best selling (and racy) novel “When the Siren Calls” by Tom Barry. The story is mainly set in the area around Borgo di Colleoli.
