Two beaches with sandy sand and rock pools are a popular family vacation. The settlement is still a fishing village, but smugglers once frequented it. Shipwrecks off the shore are a popular diving location. Pubs and eateries sit above the beach. From here, the coastal walk runs to Bigbury-on-sea and Salcombe.
