The space Parking & Local Highlights Free parking is available on the Eastern Esplanade, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the cottage and close to the famous Bleak House, where Charles Dickens wrote some of his novels. Accommodation Broadstairs has been voted the best seaside town in the South East for a getaway — and it’s easy to see why. This unique cottage comfortably sleeps four guests across two bedrooms: A spacious main bedroom with a king-size bed. A second bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The fully equipped kitchen includes a breakfast bar with seating for four — ideal for relaxed mornings before heading out to explore. The bathroom features both a bath and shower, offering flexibility for families or couples. Outside, the secure and child-friendly courtyard garden provides a peaceful spot to enjoy the sunshine, dine al fresco, or unwind with a glass of wine after a day by the sea. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire property for the duration of their stay. This includes all living areas, bedrooms, bathroom facilities, kitchen, and the private garden space. The cottage is completely self-contained, allowing you to relax and enjoy your stay with full privacy and comfort. Other things to note If you enjoy walking or cycling, there are magnificent cliff-top trails that simply shouldn’t be missed, offering breath taking coastal views at every turn. We’re also fortunate to have some fantastic golf courses right on our doorstep. France is within easy reach via the ferries from Dover, making a day trip abroad an exciting option. Alternatively, you could spend a relaxing day out on a local fishing boat. In town, there’s plenty to see and do, including the Dickens House Museum, the world-famous Morelli's Gelato, Lillyputt Mini Golf, the Grade II listed Palace Cinema, and of course Bleak House, where Charles Dickens famously wrote David Copperfield. Situated on the very tip of South East England, Broadstairs enjoys its own unique microclimate, often producing some of the best weather in the UK. You’ll always receive a warm and friendly welcome here. Steeped in history and charm, the town has been captivating visitors for generations. Barnaby’s Lodge provides a wonderful base from which to explore everything the town and surrounding area has to offer.
