Thursdays and Saturdays are market days and you will find a wide range of fresh produce there. Bakers, supermarkets, a drugstore, doctors, pharmacy, hairdresser, post office and banks are also within walking distance. North Germany's largest shopping center - the Alstertal shopping center - is about 18 minutes' walk away (by bus approx. 6 minutes) and has a large number of restaurants, cafes and boutiques.
