The 'Green House' is a charming wood panelled annex cottage dating from the 1920s. It is in a quiet, rural location, but still close to the M74 so a perfect stop en-route to northern Scotland or southwards to the border and England. It has an AGA, central heating, king-size beds with electric blankets, private parking, full cooking facilities and utilities, as well as it's own 'private use' garden facilities with views over sheep farms and the Moffat Hills. The space The Green House at Tathhill was built in 1921 as the servants' quarters for the main house which acted as a game shooting lodge. It still retains many of its original features and exudes period cottage charm. Although in the midst of the countryside, it is only a few miles from the M74 motorway. Despite being adjacent to the main house, it has private use of a large section of the garden. French windows lead out to a paved terrace with outdoor seating/table and views out over beautiful countryside. The living/dining/kitchen area is open plan so ideal for sociable living. The Green House is fully centrally heated and also has an AGA which provides additional warmth as well as cooking facilities. The two bedrooms have very comfortable King size double beds with quality mattresses and electric blankets. Guest access The Green House is solely for the use of the guests. Although adjacent to the main house, guests have sole use of a section of the land at Tathhill, which essentially creates a private garden, which a terrace area for al fresco dining and drinks.
