Hobart Hideaway Pods offer multi-award winning, boutique eco-friendly tourist accommodation, set in the rural part of Mt Wellington's foothills. Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Hobart. Two architecturally designed pods with stand out eco-conscious features, with the aim of minimising the environmental footprint. Guests are surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and sweeping decks connecting them to with landscaped gardens, wildlife, and expansive water views across the Derwent Estary. The space The "PODS" are self contained equipped with king sized beds which can also be configured as a twin on request, fluffy towels, hair dryer, composting toilet (the luxury kind) shower and basin. All the mod cons Television, Wifi, board games, reading materials, iron/ironing board and heaters. All linen provided. The "PODS" have bi-folding doors which open up the entire front onto a wrap around deck to maximise the spectacular views. They are spaced far enough apart to ensure privacy and surrounded by beautiful native garden beds which attract countless birds for your viewing. We have some resident Pademelons and amazing birdlife so keep your eyes open. There is a kitchenette with kettle, toaster, microwave and bar fridge and all the trimmings. Complimentary tea and coffee. A comprehensive guest information book provides further details on the property and suggests things to do and places to eat near by. Guest access The pods are placed in a private garden setting but feel free to wander the garden area. Other things to note The Pea Pod has a bigger bathroom that is wheelchair friendly, a slightly smaller main room but is still equipped the same. This private nook is more privately situated, overlooking the rolling paddocks to the Derwent River. Mt Wellington can also be glimpsed from the Pea Pod.
